Kert
The next few days, the inspection was more comfortable than expected. The warden showed us the corridors and the rooms it holds. With the blueprint increased in my noggin, I can see Natasha's shackles breaking free.
As we were finishing packing our stuff, a thought lingered.
"About my old teacher. I want to free him", I said.
"You know that's not happening. Our lives and the rebellion can disappear like that", Robert snapped his fingers.
"But we barely had any problems inspecting them. It wasn't like they were suspicious of anything", I shot back. Robert thoughted for a moment then sighed.
"Can't argue with that. The guards and the warden didn't mind that I was taking constant breaks. I'm sure they won't notice", he snapped the suitcase closed and headed to the car, with us disguised.
It was still day when we were back at Nan's house. Avery stepped out and screeched.
"Dude chill, it's us," Robert masked us off, and Avery huffed.
We were in the living room, Mika dropped a stack of pancakes to the carpet, in shock. Nan stood by, her eyes narrowed. Wasn't she happy we made it back without harm?
"They didn't catch you, right?", Mika squirmed at the last word.
"Nope. Swiftly and quickly", Robert chimed. Mika grimaced at a thought, but she smiled. Nan was skeptical.
"Nan, I think we should free her tonight. And along with Kert's old teacher, Tracy".
"Tristian," I corrected him.
"Alright then. Your call", Nan breathed and went to her office and closed her door. But Robert was unaffected by her doubts. In fact, he was lit up.
"This is a breeze. What's the worse that can happen?".
