Kert
The warden smiled as his game has won. Mother trapped us.
"You were so slick. You thought you could outsmart us", the warden cackled. Mother gave him a look and he stepped behind and looked down. I smiled to myself.
"Surrender now Kert. You can't run anymore along with your pathetic sister", she looked at Nash with disgust.
"B-Brother?", Natasha croaked, and I shushed her.
"Surrender? Since when Soto was in good shape in your ruling?", I spat. Mother snarled, the group was vulnerable. She might hurt them if I don't shut my mouth.
Mika's eyes were explicitly pleading. Sweat ebbed me. I need to have a plan, but I can't think of anything.
"She made Soto plummet with her silly girl games. She thinks forming a rebellion and going against her mother is mature", Mother said.
"Not when you sent innocent people to die because you want power...", Natasha said weakly.
"Enough! Surrender or I'll show you", Mother brought a knife and brought it close to Mika's neck. My blood rose and boiled, but I didn't have a choice. This rebellion won't kill my people anymore. I'm sorry.
"I give in," I muttered in defeat. Mother smiled, but it was cold and cruel as I went with Natasha.
"First good choice you've made. But sometimes, you shouldn't just listen to words only". In a second, Mika was full of life, and now on the ground with blood. I couldn't feel, either it was too numb or too much it couldn't contain itself. The void consumed me, and I couldn't hear anything.
But Mother laughed and had me in shackles as Mika was left for the crows to eat.
What was the point in all of this?
