Broken Smiles [[Black Clover Yuno x Reader]]

~ Six ~

Walking around the city, Melody is surely amazed at how lively it can be while you only tailed behind her hyped figure, boredly following her like a mere dog, clearly not satisfied from what you're seeing right now and it just annoys you without any reasons at all.

"Stop frowning and smile, _____! This city is great, does it remind you of our homeland?~" Melody commented happily-- quickly making her stop walking and nervously lets out a chuckle, clearly forgotten what had happened just a few months ago "I- I mean the time when it was still bea--" your hand quickly covered her annoying mouth, (h/c) bangs covering your angered eyes underneath.

"Shut up and dont talk anymore" Melody gulped at how low your voice became, slowly and gently removing your hand off of her mouth then sheepishly smiled at you "R-right...! A-anyway, When is Yuno and Asta's entrance examination day?" She asked, hoping that you'll cooldown for a little bit and it somehow worked for a little once you let out a sigh then crossed your arms "Next week, I think? Those idiots are still working their asses off since morning. They're that serious to pass this exam"

"Seriously? Its already lunch-- oh! We should bring them food to restore their stamina for their training!" You, wanting to be left alone, just nod your head in agreement as your fellow friend jumped in exictement. Grinning from ear to ear, she quickly drag you to a nearby stalls as Melody looks for something that those boys will like. "What do you think?" The pinknette asked, eyes roaming around in the stalls as it searches for a nice meal. You grumbled under your breath "you pick whatever you like. I dont really care, as long as they eat their food then its fine!"

"Dont be such a grumpy-old-wuss and pick--"

"Oi!--"

"What ye' like, miss?" Asked the owner of the stall. He smiles down at the two, waiting for them to decided whatever type of food they'll get. Melody lets out a hum, cupping her chin in the process "come on ____ and help me!" Quickly grabbing your arm and pulled you close, her eyes still glued down on the good foods across her.

Just staring at it makes you drool a bit. They all look so damn tasty!

"One Yakitori* please!" Melody gladly said then patiently waits for the man to prepare her order. Since its pretty boring to just stand around and do nothing, You decided to walking around the street while your eyes roams around the area in search for a nice treat for Yuno to repay him for saving your ass awhile back.

An aroma of something sweet filled your nostrils, quickly cooling you down and also lifting up your spirits in a second. You followed that aroma until you arrived in front of a food stall with its costumers waiting patiently in line.

You let out a low hum "just for a while..." You mumbled to yourself then starts to fall in line with eyes looking around to enjoy yourself.

"Where are those two?" Asta asked, doing stretches with his arms. "And you think I know the answer to that..?"  Yuno asked back, only making Asta groan under his breath and was about to shout at him again but a voice called both of their attention.

"Sorry guys!" Melody yelled with a smile on her face while waving her hand to greet the two boys. You only tailed behind while silently eating your taiyaki*. You also held a small paper bag at your other free hand while you just silently walked over Yuno and gave him the treat you've bought "Here" You offered and that made him confused.

"You're tired from your training so here....also to say another thank you for saving me from the man who attacked you and Asta.

The two idiots watched, eyes glancing at you then to Yuno, then back to you again. That keeps on repeating until Yuno gladly accepted your offer "Thanks..." not showing enough expression, you just shrug that off then nod your head.

"What? That's it???" Melody whined, as if she's been waiting for something to happen. Yuno was confused from what she'd said but you only told him to not pay any attention to her then move on. "Anyway, I'll be going to the library for now."

"Want me to go with you?" Asta asked with a grin but you flatly turned it down, already knowing where the public library is located. This made Melody laugh at Asta's reaction and it only annoyed the said boy more, quickly defending himself and say nonsense to Melody; about being a gentleman or something. This only made Melody laugh even more.

"Anyway, good luck on your exams." You lastly said and was about to walk away to kill some time by reading a book but Yuno said something that made you turn your head towards him then gave a slight nod as a response.

"You should be watching..."

"Of course, I wont miss that chance"

Anyway, I'll only put up N/A like these if its only necessary and sorry for the huge delay uwu. I know I've been inactive lately but I'll try to pub more chapters.

Also, Im not really good at writing some 'fighting scenes' but I'll try... ;w; dont kill me if it turns out horrible....

[1] Yakitori - are chicken skewers that are grilled over charcoal and can be found all over Japan; A truly classic Japanese treat.

[2] Taiyaki - is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. It imitates the shape of the Tai, which it is named after. The most common filling is red bean paste that is made from sweetened azuki beans.
