We pulled up in parking lot of the high school, after Andrew and I had a conversation about the different types of makeup and why each one was important. Surprisingly, he actually listened to every word I said.

"Now you know everything you need to know about makeup," I stated confidently with a big grin on my face. "Thanks," he happily replied, also with a grin on his face. "Now I'll actually understand what Madison is always talking about."

Wow, I'd almost forgotten Andrew had a girlfriend. Her name is Madison Young. I don't really like her that much, so I guess that's why I always forget she's dating Andrew. Madison and I used to be best friends in Middle School, but then she started hanging out with other girls that I thought were a bad influence. Anyways, our friendship kind of faded away during the summer between 8th and 9th grade. Now she's just one of those popular girls who are usually referred to as the "Slutty Girls". I'm glad I left her when I did.

My thought was interrupted by the car coming to a halt and Andrew pulling the key out of the ignition. He waved his hand in front of me, which made me realize I had been staring off into space. "Oh, sorry. What'd you say again?" I asked with a little pink rushing to my cheeks.  He repeated himself and this time I actually responded telling him that it was no problem.

I picked up my book bag from the floor board and was about to open the car door, when it began to open on its own. I hadn't even noticed, but Ethan, my boyfriend, had seen us and walked over to the car to open my door for me. I looked up and smiled when I saw him. My blue eyes met with his warm brown eyes. That was my favorite part about him, whereas every other girl in school was obsessed with his abs. I didn't really care about them honestly. I was more the type of girl who looked at eyes. I mean, if I ended up dating that person, I'd be seeing their eyes a lot, right?

Anyways, Ethan held his hand out like a prince helping his princess out of her carriage. I slipped my arms through the straps on my book bag and gladly took hold of his hand. I stepped out of the car, and my face was inches away from Ethan's when I went to look up at him.

"Hey beautiful," he greeted, followed by a small kiss on my forehead. I replied, "Hey handsome," as a smile began to form on my lips. Ethan backed away from me and the car, so that I could close the car door. As I closed it, Ethan's tone of voice changed when he spoke. "Why'd Andrew bring you to school today?" he questioned. I could clearly tell he was jealous.

"My dad had to use my car this morning, so I called Drew and asked him to pick me up. Is that a problem?" I asked with clear confusion and frustration in my voice. "No, no. I was just curious. You two seem to spend a lot of time together. I just thought maybe next time you could call me first and I could bring you," he said with an innocent grin on his face. Deep down I could tell he just didn't like me hanging around other guys. Sometimes, I wonder why I'm still dating him. He can really be a jerk when he wants.

"Well I'll see you 'round," he said as he went to kiss my forehead once again. But this time I backed away causing him to to do the same. He turned around and just walked away, not saying anything about what I had just done. I turned  toward the car as Andrew walked from the driver's side, around the front of the car, and toward me.

"Tell me again why you're dating that jerk. I'd never treat Madison like that," he spoke as he approached me. "I honestly have absolutely no clue," I replied with laughter in my voice. I looked down at my watch and noticed it was five minutes till 8. "We better head to homeroom. It's 7:55," I stated, replacing the smile on my face with a serious expression. Andrew, then looked down at his own watch, causing his eyes to grow large. "Oh crap! Yeah, let's go."

We made our way to the front doors of the school, avoiding bringing up what had just happened. Not wanting to walk all the way to class in complete silence I asked Andrew a question. "Did you finish last night's PreCal homework by any chance?" Right as the words came out of my mouth, Andrew's eyes widened and his cheeks started turning red. "That's due today?!" he asked, obviously terrified considering he NEVER forgot to do a single homework assignment in his life. "Yeah..." I slowly replied. Usually, if I forgot to do my homework, I'd just copy Andrew's. Now we were both screwed...
