Chapter 29: Bye Bye Akane Jaeger

Eren's PoV

White,

WHITE?

White isn't good... Nope blood is suppose RED not WHITE. This is bad, really bad. I don't wanna loose my sister. That's one of the reasons I'm fighting. For her and mom. For humanity. Titans... If they didn't exist mom wouldn't have died, we wouldn't live in fear and behind three stupid walls. Which were suppose to protect us but they did a pretty bad job.

I looked at Hanji working on the blood test which well.... I repeat had little white balls floating around it. I looked at it in shock not knowing what to do. Hanji also looked at it, her eyes wide opened. "EH? WHAT!!??" she kept shaking the little tube around seeing if anything happened but nothing. the little white things didn't mix with the blood.

I slowly made my way to Akane but Hanji stopped me. "Eren go find Levi" she said looking at me. I tilted my head slowly and i looked at her skeptically "huh?" I asked her, "go find the shorty" she said looking at me sadly. I nodded and headed out to look for the corporal.

3rd persons Pov

Akane kept her eyes opened as she saw the white things floating in her blood test. "W-what...?" She croaked out as she looked at the ring Levi gave her. A beautiful, white and blue ring "Jiyuu no Tsubasa" she whispered as she placed a finger on it. Stroking it lightly smiling.

Hanji placed a warm towel on her head and frowned 'she won't live' the mad scientist thought. Hanji kept working with the blood as Akane would let out soft groans and moans in pain.

Not so far away a brunette ran around the HQ looking for the short corporal. After he saw a familiar Under-Cut he quickly ran over the man giving him a quick salute "Sir, Hanji told me to look for you... I-It's about Akane" Eren whispered and Levi nodded.

Keeping his usual stoic and calm face, except on the inside he was panicking. He didn't even look back as he quickly started walking to the young girl. "don't die on me now shitty brat" Levi whispered as he almost sprinted to her room.

Hanji was at the desk reading a few files the blood still in front of her, the white substance that was in it slowly started dissolving away but it was still there. And it was obvious that it wasn't going to leave.

Hanji looked at Levi, she turned to look at the pale girl who was sweating and breathing heavily. "Levi..." Hanji whispered placing a hand on his shoulder. She slowly made her way out of the room and he slowly walked over to the frail girl.

"Aye, Shorty" she whispered opening her turquoise eyes to look at the man's grey blue ones. He placed a hand on her cheek and kissed her forehead, he knew what was coming. He's seen it before, people die.

"Tch, breaking your promise" Levi whispered as he took her hand,which had the ring,on into his. She smiled softly "ehhh... Gomen" she whispered closing her eyes.

He kissed her hand and took her ring off. He looked at it and took out a small gold chain he had in his pocket. He slid the ring onto it and wrapped it around her neck.

"What're you doing Levi?" She asked softy opening her eyes to see him "...." he didn't say anything but place a soft kiss on her lips.

Her breathing was slowing down, he knew the time was coming, and he was going to be there for her when it did. He looked at her pale features 'Damn she looks like Eren' he thought as Akane slowly started losing consciousness slowly.

"Levi..." She whispered out and he gently squeezed her hand as if to say 'I'm listening', she hummed a bit before talking.

"Armin told me stories about a place called an ocean... And other places like the desert. They are huge Bodies of water filled with salt, crazy right? Maybe one day... Maybe... One... Day...." She said as she could feel herself getting tired.
