No One's P.o.V

"Wait what?!" You asked in a surprised tone as you stared at your father in disbelief, "You want me to do WHAT exactly at the hero banquet?"

"I want you to perform a song to start it off." Your father, (F/N), repeated himself as he continued making coffee. It was almost time for you to get going to school, but your father stopped you before you were out the door and told you to sit down on a barstool near the counter that divided the living room from the kitchen while he made you two 'some morning joe' as he put it. You were utterly confused and on high alert since he only did this when he wants something. Turns out, your suspicions were correct.

"But dad, I can't perform for anyone! I haven't sung one song since my play in grade school!" You stated as you watched him pour the hot liquid in your cup. "Nonesense (Y/N), I'm sure you'll be fine. You have a wonderful voice and I'm positive you're just what the people need to get the party going!" (F/N) stated with a smile as he passed the cup your way along with the creamer and sugar (If you drink black coffee, just ignore the last part).

"I'm glad you have confidence in me, dad. However, I'm not even sure I can sing in front of all those heroes. That's too much pressure!" You complained as you fixed up your coffee the way you like it, "Not to mention that some of those pros could be the parents of some of my peers! It just makes it even worse!"

"But! This is also a chance for you to show off more of your skills to the heroes! And who knows, maybe some of them there might try to recruit you when the time comes for your internships." Your old man listed off, trying to make you see the good side of your potential performance. Suddenly he got an idea as he turned his facial expression into a sad one. "But if you don't want to, then you don't have to." He sighed as he shook his head in fake disappointment.

You knew what he was doing; he always did this to you! He always feigned sadness to get you to feel pity for him and do what he asks you to do. Your left eye twitched in annoyance while he continued his pathetic act. "I won't force you to do this. You're already taking the hero course for me so that should be enough in my heart. Although, seeing you perform and hearing my only daughter's angelic voice for one more night would've made this old man really happy." He sighed in pretend agony, placing the back of one hand on his forehead while the other hand on his heart and looked away in 'sorrow'. You watched him put on his little show for a bit longer before you finally let out a sigh of slight irritation and defeat.

"Would me singing REALLY make you happy...?" You asked quietly, making him turn back to you with hopeful puppy dog eyes. "Yes." (F/N) answered in a pouty tone. "Then fine, I'll do it. But only for you!" You answered, making him smile with content.

"That's my girl." He said calmly as he reached over to you and ruffled your hair. "Daaaad!" You whined and took a hold of his wrist with both of your hands while he just grinned happily. You couldn't help but smile slightly back. "How did I get so lucky?" He asked you, forcing a light blush in embarrassment coat your cheeks.

"Stoooop. You're making me embarrassed." You complained once more as you got his hand off of your head and started to fix your hair. "Are you saying your old man embarrasses you?!" He questioned with hurt in his voice.

"Yes." You answered with no emotion, making him look down in defeat. "You're so mean, (Y/N)." He grumbled before mumbling, "Just like your mother."

"What was that?" You asked in a deadly tone as you gripped your cup of coffee. "N-Nothing!" Your father stuttered out. You sighed and checked the time before chugging down your coffee. However, it was still kind of hot, so it burned your throat a bit. "Shit, that burned!" You sputtered in slight pain as you rubbed your throat.
