Chapter 30

Jade's pov

I hesitated for a moment I unlocked the door and Emily slowly opened it. I held the stake in my hand lifting it in the air ready to stake her. She opened the door and stepped into the room.

"We'll look at this. A poor human trying to think, she can kill me with that." Emily said while pointing to the stake in my shaking hands.

" I can try" I said back surprised that my voice didn't come out shaky.

" we'll see about that" she said lunging forward towards me. She grabbed the stake out of my hands, pushing me to the other side of the room.

" poor poor Jade" she said while walking over to me. "What are you gonna do now" Emily's face was now right In front of mine. Her gangs were out and her eyes were red. I couldn't answer her fear was raking through my body.

Emily leaned down and sniffed my neck. "You have very nice blood mind if I have a taste" she said chuckling.

"No" I said back in a weak voice. Emily ignored my protest, and sunk her sharp fangs into my neck. I screamed in agony. It hurts so much, Emily is going to kill me. I heard Emily pull back. I looked at her face through my blurry vision, she had red all over her mouth.

" don't fight it jade, just go to sleep and everything will be better" she said while laughing. I could see black dots in my vision. Laying on the floor And closed my eyes I let sleep come to me.

Patricia's pov

We've searched everywhere for Louis. We decided that we should get back home. As we neared the door I could smell the sweet taste of blood.

"Guys do you smell that?" I asked them. Every boy nodded as we ran into the house. Harry ran upstairs towards Jades room. I looked in the room and if my heart was still beating it would have stopped. Jade was lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood.

" we have to help her" I said running to get to her side, near a crying Harry.

" we cant" he said while sobbing. " her pulse Is too weak." He said. Niall came over towards me and hugged me from behind. I knew that he was trying to comfort me, butI just want to be alone right now,with my best friend. I shrugged his arms off and sat back down.

"Jade of you can hear me, I love you,you were my bestest friend in the whole wide world." I said now noticing that I had tears trailing down my cheeks. I felt like the room was suffocating me. I ran out of the room and out of the house. I continued running without looking where I was going. I could hear footsteps running behind me but I still ran.

"Patricia wait" I heard Niall call out but I didn't stop. Niall caught up to me and grabbed me by the waist. He turned me around so that I was now facing him. " Patricia it wasn't your fault" he said to me looking me in the eye.

" I know but we could have stopped it, if we came home earlier." I said still crying. Niall didn't say anything he just kissed away my tears that were now falling freely down my face.

" Niall I don't want her to die" I said to him. Niall looked up with a sad look in his eyes. " I know you don't Patricia, but she's too weak to be turned into a vampire" he said hugging me tighter.

What am I gonna do now I've lost my best friend. I still remember the first time we met In kindergarten.

*Flashback*

Jade was sitting in the sand put making a castle, when a boy came and knocked it over. The little boy ran away and laughed at a now crying Jade.

" it's okay" I said to jade. She looked up at me wiping away her tears. " hi my names Patricia. What's yours?" I asked her.

" my name is Jade" she said still letting a few tears slip past her eyes.

" it's okay Jade, I can help you build Another sandcastle that can be bigger." I said to her. She smiled at me and we spent most of that day building an awesome sandcastle.

*Flashback over*

Niall shook me out of my thoughts. I cried harder remembering that day. We were best friend ever since then, we were connected at the hip. Niall squeezed me tighter in his arms. " Co'mon let's go back" he said while leading me back to the house.
