One Year Later~~

"Hey babe have you seen my laptop?" Sam yelled through the top floor of Gabe's lolly shop.

"You left it in our room," Gabe replied, walking out of said room with the laptop. He passed it to Sam, before leaning upwards to kiss him softly. Sam raised a hand to the back of Gabe's neck, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss, whining when Gabe pulled away. "Come on, you know Cassie's book launch thing is today, we can't be late."

Sam pouted. "You turning down making out? That's new."

"Just trying to be a supportive brother," Gabe smirked, before moving to put on a pair of shoes. "Come on, get your ass ready so we can get our asses back here later and put them to use in some other way."

"Oh my god Gabe," Sam muttered, blushing darkly as he went to get ready, the sound of Gabe's chuckles following him.

The two of them eventually did manage to get ready, with only a few delays from sudden kissing that bordered on a making out session. And they then made their way to the small shop where Cas's book launch party thingy, whatever they are, was happening.

When they got there there were already quite a lot of people there, including Dean and Cas. Dean spotted them first, rushing over with Cas in tow.

"Heya Sammy," Dean said. "Gabriel."

"Deano," Gabe said. "So Cassie, do we all get to read this book now?" Cas smiled sheepishly. He'd kept the book, his second published novel, secret from Dean, Sam and Gabriel the entire time he'd been working on it. Something about wanting it to be a complete surprise.

"Go ahead," he said, and Gabe practically leaped over to the table where copies of his book sat. "I want to see his reaction to this," Cas said quietly, and both Dean and Sam looked over at Gabriel who had opened the book and was frozen on a page.

"Cassie," Gabe said quietly, walking back with the book. He had it open on the dedications page, and held it so Sam and Dean could see it too.

For Dean, Sam and Gabriel

For the online ties that brought us together, and led us all to happiness.

"Is it about..." Dean started, and Cas nodded.

"A couple who met over the internet," he said, smiling brightly. "The book is almost all written in text conversations except for a few key scenes." He smiled sheepishly again. "I took a lot of inspiration from us four."

"Please tell me it has a happy ending unlike the rest of your books," Dean pleaded.

"Well, there's a lot of difficulties and they're not always happy...but yes. It's a happy ending." Cas smiled. "I wanted it to reflect reality." Dean just stared at him for a moment before pulling him into a kiss.

"Come on guys, keep it PG," Gabe said. He wasn't even looking up at them, he was already reading the book, Sam looking over his shoulder to read it too.

"Kissing is PG," Dean muttered. "We could do much worse."

"Maybe later," Cas said, smirking.

"Okay this is the cutest thing ever," Gabriel said, closing the book slowly. Him and Sam were on their bed, both reading the book, and they had both just simultaneously finished it.

"Agreed, it was like a fanfiction, but in a real book," Sam said.

"I mean, it was based off us, and we're not a fanfiction..." Gabe said, trailing off for some mysterious reason. Sam ignored that.

"The book made me think though," Sam said. "I really am thankful to have you, to have met you. You commenting on my fanfiction was probably the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"Getting a bit sappy here moosey," Gabe said, but he was smiling softly at Sam. Sam just rolled his eyes with a smile.

"I just...I really love you Gabriel," Sam said quietly. Gabe's smile only widened.

"I love you too little moosey," he replied, leaning forward to kiss his boyfriend and probably soon to be fiancé, wishing for nothing more in this moment, because to each of them, this was perfect.

"Do you like it?" Cas asked, looking over at where Dean was reading his book intensely.

"I love it," Dean said. "God Cas this is..." He looked up. "Some of these conversations sound almost the same as ours, it's making me nostalgic."

"Do you miss our texting conversations?" Cas asked, tilting his head.

"Well I'll always miss them," Dean said. "But this is better. Actually being with you in person, it's so much better." He smiled. "You know your stories have been based off of real life things, what's your next one going to be?"

"I was thinking something with elements of the supernatural," Cas contemplated. "Maybe with hunters like in Supernormal."

"So long as no one dies, I'm good with anything."

"Oh Dean, you know I can't do that."

"Caaasss, let everyone live and be happy."

"Nope."

"Cas."

"No."

"Why are you like this."

":)"

"-_-"

...Cas sighed. "Dean this is a verbal conversation we can't use emojis."

"Watch me," Dean muttered. "-_-" Cas just chuckled quietly.

"Hey Dean? I love you."

Dean smiled "I love you too angel."

Their lives continued, because no story every truly just ends. There was cuteness, marriage, fanfictions and books, and all in all, happiness.

What had begun as a simple message between them had turned into the best part of their lives, something literally life-changing. A simple text that sparked a friendship that sparked a relationship.

Online communication really is an amazing thing. Think about it, anywhere in the world and you can be as close as a simple text message away, just a second from talking to someone who's from a different country, a different continent, or sometimes even just someone a state away. No matter how close or far, no matter how big or small the time difference, we can all be brought together by the internet, by this thing that can tie us to each other.

And it was these online ties that brought them together, that changed their lives forever.
