Raj kept quiet, unable to react to anything.
'Raj.. tu sun raha hai na?'

'meri salary abhi tak aayi kyun nahi?' Naina asked the administrator.
'tumhe tumhari salary nahi milegi Naina', the store Manager spoke from her behind. Naina turned back.
'Sir.. par kyun?'
'tum jaante bhi ho tumhari laparwah ki wajah se hume kitna loss hua hai'
'meri wajah se?'
'haan tumhari wajah se, main tumhe notice karte aa raha hun, you have been always late for work, aur iss mahine tum dus din bhi theek se kaam kiya.. aise hi chalte rahoge toh main tumhe kaam se nikaalna padega' He warned her and left from there. Naina stood there helplessly. She got the call from her friend.
'Yes Sally'
'Naina, Ahan is not opening his eyes. He is not breathing well. I am taking him to the hospital'
Ahan's health had been not well from past few days. Naina had looked after him staying home for few days, and that day seeing him doing well she had decided to go back to work. She had left him at her friend's place and went to work. She rushed to hospital with Sally's call. Ahan was admitted to an ICU. Naina was trying to peep through the little glass window, to get a glimpse of her son. A doctor came out and informed her they need to perform an immediate surgery. She was devastated and could not speak a single word and she kept crying, her friend sally consoled her. She was given a form to fill in the details and she went through the cost of surgery.
'I don't have this much money', Naina told her friend nervously.
'Naina, you don't have a health plan?'
'No, it got rejected. I did not check on that again'. Naina blamed herself for being careless.
'what will you do now?'
Naina was horrified. 'Sally, please be here with Ahan.. I will be back soon'
She went to the store she worked in and asked her boss for money, 'Naina, I am really feeling sorry for you, but this is not a small amount, mere paas itne paise nahi hai'
Naina sat there unable to think, unable to do anything. And in that situation, the only person who came into her mind was Rajveer. She literally ran to the hotel he had checked in, hoping for him to be still there and had not left to India. She waited for him in the lobby for more than an hour as she was not allowed to meet him personally. She saw him exiting from the hotel and was walking towards the car. She ran behind him to talk to him.
'Rajveer!!', she spoke loudly. Raj turned towards her, his eyebrows jerked up in surprise seeing her there.
'Naina??'
'Rajveer, Ahan.. hospital.. I.. I need money', that was all she managed to say.
'Naina! calm down.. pehle batao hua kya hai' and Naina told him about Ahan's condition.
'Don't worry.. I will arrange', Raj asked her to sit there on the couch and went few feet away from her to call Aditya for arranging money.
'Raj, itne paise?.. are you mad? are you still believing her?'
'Adi.. stop.. do what I say'
He came back to her and informed her that the money would be arranged in an hour, her eyes spoke volumes, thanking him for his help. Aditya was angry at Raj. How could he forget and forgive her so easily? Aditya was the only one who had seen what Raj had been through after she left.
They were waiting outside the ICU. Naina was crying silently, praying for God. Her friend Sally sat beside her consoling her. Rajveer was watching her. As the scarf on her head slipped off revealing the deep scar on her face near her ear, he gasped.
'Raj! what the hell are you doing there? you missed the flight? Are you coming back or not? And why the hell you are not lifting Nita's calls, she called me twice to know about you' Aditya called him on his mobile and was yelling at him, obviously worried about his friend.
'Adi.. oh.. Naina.. akeli hai'
'Naina.. Naina.. Naina.. Raj! did you forget what she did with you? ab ye kya naya drama kar rahi hai vo?'
