"This is going to be a tough high school journey." Donghyuck mutters as they walk inside the school gates. He grasps his backpack tightly while he nervously looks around. Renjun laughs as he look at his bestfriend who is exaggerating.

"No, it's going to be an easy one." Renjun replies.

The two of them got accepted at Neo Academy which is a school for middle class people and even for prestigious ones. Since Renjun is a genius, he applied for a full scholarship and got accepted meanwhile Donghyuck tried too but he only has 25% of the scholarship which is still okay because his family can afford the tuition fee.

Renjun is excited because this school can lead him to a better life (as what he has heard from the conversation of the old women). This school also donate to big charities that helps pronvincial schools to have better facilities and helps children for their education. It is also believed that teachers here are top notches and friendly. It's also an all boys school which is better for Renjun since he doesn't like girls to swoon over him (he's confident that he has looks and others don't question that too).

"We're not classmates though. Are you okay with that?" Renjun frowns as Donghyuck reminds him again.

"It's okay. We can still meet at lunch."

"What if someone approached you?" Donghyuck stops from his track and crosses his arms while looking at him. Renjun breathes heavily before answering his bestfriend.

"You know what I'll do. I will not talk to that person and even snap at him if he won't stop bothering me. I'm here to study and not make more friends."

"What if your teacher decided to have partners or group projects?" Renjun groans as his bestfriend keeps on repeating the questions they already talked about weeks ago.

"Donghyuck." Renjun warns him.

Donghyuck smiles at him then he grabs him by the shoulder. "Just kidding but please don't bite his head off."

"You're the one who tend to bite your enemies." Renjun jokes as he suddenly remember a memory when they were in middle school. Donghyuck just bit someone's arm because the guy intentionally poured milk onto Renjun's essay work. Donghyuck was trying to be Renjun's friend that time so he protects him at all costs. Renjun cried and Donghyuck was there to comfort him so he eventually accepted him to be his friend even though Donghyuck got called at the guidance because of what he did. 'You became my bestfriend so that's worth a bite and he ruined your essay too! He deserves it.' Renjun still remembers the exact words that his bestfriend told him. It was a memory that he treasures.

"Well, just tell me who messes with you then I'm ready but instead of biting him, I'll chop him off." Donghyuck replies while doing some chop chop action but Renjun looks at him with horror.

"Oh my god. That's disgusting. You're scary!"

Donghyuck laughs at him evilly. Renjun doesn't get his bestfriend's weird humor but he loves him anyway.

The two of them arrived at their building and they still have 5 minutes before the bell rings. The building consists of 10th-12th graders with computer and science labs and club rooms. There is also a mini library in their building. Since the two of them are 11th graders, their floor is on the third floor. They already know where since they toured themselves 2 days before the school starts.

"Aren't you nervous?" Donghyuck whispers as they climb along with the students on the stairs. Renjun just shakes his head as a response.

As they walk towards the corridors, few glances are thrown to them and Renjun knows that this would happen. It's really rare for someone to move schools when they're already in 11th grade because next year they're going to graduate from high school. But of course, Renjun won't waste his time and voice to tell them their stories.

"I'll escort you to your room." Before Renjun can complain, Donghyuck drags him infront of his classroom which is 11-A. Donghyuck even open the door for him and  Renjun just hopes that those who have seen it will not look at it differently.

Donghyuck pats his head before walking away. His bestfriend treat him like a child where in fact he's months older than him. Renjun goes inside and he sees an empty seat infront. He removes his backpack as he take a sit and prays silently that he won't snap at anyone today. Not when he's a new student and it's the first day of school. He hopes that his day will go as what he has planned well.
