"Thanks." Renjun says more like whisper when Jaemin finished treating his mild bruises.

"You're welcome." Jaemin returns with a sweet smile. He goes to Renjun's side and sit with him, putting the kit on his own lap.

"I'm going to leave you when your friend finally shows up. I don't want to leave you alone." Jaemin tells him first because he knows Renjun will question him on why he's still there.

Renjun didn't say a word, he doesn't want to be rude since Jaemin helped his pathetic and loser self who tripped because he was too focused on thinking about embarrassing himself and in the end he did.

"I didn't expect you to run. I thought you'll just donate money and stay at the school library because it's too crowded and noisy in here." Jaemin says after the short silence.

"Well, I think it's fun to join charity events like this even though I don't like athletic stuff, for example, running." Renjun replies with full honesty.

"I'm glad that today is a success even though some people aren't really interested and did it for their own gain." Jaemin sadly chuckles.

Renjun remembers the guy who said that this event was stupid. He wants to tell Jaemin about it but he refuse not to.

Silence envelops the two of them. It isn't awkward rather a comfortable one which is new. They aren't close or even acquaintances. They are just schoolmates who had bad impression against one another.

Renjun suddenly shifts from his slouched position, he hates the comfortable silence. He knows this is up to no good. He doesn't even know why he is talking to Jaemin, he should be rude and snappy towards him but he is slightly being nice.

And Renjun believes that he is not nice.

He looks around, silently praying that he can spot Donghyuck but he fails miserably.

Jaemin senses that the aura has changed so he frowns, holding the kit while standing up. He tries to scan the crowd to find Donghyuck too, he just knows who Renjun wanted to find. He can also feel that he's being impatient.

Then Jaemin sees his friend Minhyung talking to some guy, he squints his eyes to have a better look, he's talking to a cute melanin boy whose cheeks are round and full but he looks so stressed and annoyed. Donghyuck.

"I found your friend. Stay here. I'll go there for you." Jaemin jogs his way towards the two, still holding the kit.

As soon as he's near, he can hear what they are talking about.

"Please say yes." Minhyung pleads to Donghyuck.

"No. And I told you before to stop annoying me." Donghyuck says in a tight voice.

"Bu-"

"He already said no. Don't pester him, Minhyung." Jaemin interrupts, giving Minhyung a warn look.

"Yes, that's right! Listen to your friend and don't pester me anymore." Donghyuck smirks. Minhyung looks defeated so he walks away leaving the both of them.

"I'm sorry on behalf of my friend." Jaemin sincerely apologizes, a small smile on his face.

"M'kay."

"Renjun is looking for you. He's at the bleachers." Jaemin points out to Renjun who is also looking at them.

"Thank you. I should have stayed at the start slash finish line but I got sidetracked because of the food stalls. Then I couldn't find him because there are lots of people in here and unfortunately I stumbled at your annoying friend..." Donghyuck explains.

Jaemin chuckles at him. And Donghyuck realizes that he's rambling too much so he makes his way out of the embarassment by immediately walking away to go to his bestfriend.

Jaemin gazes at the two who seems like having a childish fight, he shakes his head before going to the medic tent to return the first aid kit that he's still holding.

After that, he goes to where the tent for the organizers is. All of his friends are there including his boyfriend except for Minhyung.

"Jaemin! Where have you been?" Chenle's shrilling voice welcomes him.

"Just did something important. Do you have water? I'm really thirsty."

Jaemin sits at the empty chair beside Jeno who flashes a questioning look on his face but quickly dismiss it. Instead, he gives Jaemin a water jug, he also wipes his sweat using the towel he prepared for him. Jaemin gives his boyfriend a sweet smile.

"Thank you."

"I've been waiting for you after the run has finished. Where h– anyways, Chenle told me that you both need to talk to your chosen charities? And discuss with them about the materials or whatever they need." Jeno tells him, and Jaemin nods in return.

"When the event is over, I'll be going to the foster first then tomorrow after school, I'll go and meet the cat center owner."

"But I thought, you and I will eat together at the pizzeria place later?" Jeno pouts while crossing his arms.

"Oh. Right. I forgot, sorry. I'll just move my schedules then." Jaemin turns his head at him and kisses his forehead.

"You are the best boyfriend ever!"
