Chapter 1

"So, you and Matt are dating now?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah." I nodded. We have been on the plane for about half an hour. We have been talking the entire time.

"Why?" He asked.

"Are you jealous?" I joked.

"You wish." He rolled his eyes.

"I wish you would stop talking." I said. "I'm kidding, Matt and I have been spending a lot of time together, and we just clicked." I shrugged.

"I'm a better kisser though." Taylor said.

"Your cockiness is the biggest thing about you. And I'm not talking height." I said.

"That's rude." He said as he put his hand on his chest. "So, how are things with Matt?" He asked.

"Good." I smiled. "Do you have a new girlfriend?" I asked.

"No, I'm working on getting this one girl though." He smiled.

"Tell me about her." I said.

"Her name is Caitlyn, she has brown hair that is really curly, like a poodle. And she's really fun and she likes my collection of tie-dye bandanas." He smiled. "She's amazing."

"When did you meet her?" I asked.

"I've always known her. I met her in kindergarten. I got her number awhile ago and have been texting her."

"Oh." I said. Was he texting her when we were in a relationship?

"I didn't really have feelings for her for that long." He explained. "Just last week, when you started staying in Matt and Carter's room is when I realized I have feelings for her."

"I hope you and her are happy together." I smiled.

"You're not mad?" He asked.

"Of course not. I have Matty and I personally think it's great that we're friends again. I love you, but it's too awkward for us to date." He smiled.

"Thanks." He said. "I'm happy we're friends again too." I hugged him.

"It's good to know you guys are on speaking terms." Dillon smiled.

"I know." I smiled.

"I missed you guys so much!" Mom said when she started hugging us.

"It was only three weeks." Dillon rolled his eyes.

"I know." She smiled. "Let's go. Caitlyn and Maria are waiting in the car." Dillon and Taylor smiled at each other.

"Aw, does Dillon like Maria?" I cooed.

"Shut up, squirt." He said.

"I'm ten months younger then you." I said. "And I'm almost as tall as you."

"Still younger." He whispered. Him and Taylor ran out to the car leaving mom and me behind.

"I heard that you and Taylor broke up." She said as we walked out of the airport.

"Um, yeah." I nodded. "We talked it over, and we're better as friends." I said.

"Okay." She nodded.

"Let me get this straight," Maria said. "Dillon is your older brother, but you have only known him for two years?"

"Yep." I nodded. "I was adopted but didn't know about it until I turned seventeen a few months ago."

"But you knew Carter?" I nodded. "That's crazy weird. What are the odds that your adoptive family lives near a guy that is friends with your real brother."

"I never thought of it that way." I shrugged. "It is kinda weird that I had known him, not as my brother Dillon Rupp, but as my boyfriend's friend Dillon Rupp." Caitlyn looked down at her phone.

"Sorry, Taylor just asked me out. What should I say?" Caitlyn smiled

"Say yes, obviously. Oh wait, he's Adriana's ex. Are you okay with it?" Maria asked.

"Of course." I nodded. "He really likes Caitlyn anyways."

"I miss you so much babe." Matt said.

"I miss you too." I smiled.

"I can't wait to see you next week." He smiled.

"I know right." I smiled. "Listen babe, I have to go, school night." I rolled my eyes.

"Night beautiful." He smiled.

"Night handsome. I love you." And with that, I ended the call.
