"Mom sent another gift for the kids." Dillon said.
"Throw it out." I said.
"Just talk to her. Once. You haven't spoked to her in 4 years!" Dillon begged.
"She's back with our 'father' and she's trying to make the kids acknowledge him as a grandfather. If he's not my father, how is he their grandfather?" I asked.
"That doesn't mean you don't give them the presents they get." He said.
"Fine. Make sure it doesn't have another letter in it though. I hate when they make me read them letters from her." I said.
"Fine." He said and walked away. "Hey girls!" I heard him yell from outside my room.
"Just talk to her. She misses you. And the kids." Matt said.
"Matty, she is back together with the man that made her give me up for adoption. I want her no where near the kids." I said.
"I know baby. But think about them , they know they have two grandmothers, but only one of them ever visits or sends Christmas presents." He said. "They probably think your mom doesn't like them or something."
"I know. I just don't want them to have any relations to my father." I said.
"I know. Neither do I." He said. "Just talk to her and say she can visit them whenever she wants, but can't bring him along." He shrugged.
"I guess you're right." I said.
"I always am." He kissed my cheek and went out of the room. I looked back at my lap top and finished typing.
'And in conclusion, any situation can be turned around. Look at me, the depressed adopted girl turns into the happy mother of 3 in just 8 short years.
There are always the bumps in the road, some bumps are literal(like with the twins), or metaphorical(like when my father came into my life).
The bumps can be mountains, or ant hills, in all depends on how you look at it.' I sent the article to my publisher and shut my laptop.
"Mommy!" Dallas yelled. "Emily's not sharing!"
"That's not nice." I said. I lifted up my 2 year old boy and carried him on my hip. "Em, share with Dallas. Or no ice cream later." She gave him her ball.
"Keelee, show mommy what you drew." Matt said. Keelee walked over with a paper behind her back.
"Show me." I whispered. She handed me a picture. The picture was brightly colored and had five people in it, well, stick figures, but she's 8. I can't critic it.
There was a tall blue one with yellow hair, a tall pink one with black hair, two small pink ones, one with yellow hair, one with black, and a small blue one with brown hair.
I smiled.
She even wrote who was who on it.
"This is beautiful Keelee." I smiled at her.
"Thank you mommy. I made it for your story book." She said.
"What?" I asked.
"The story book you were writing on the computer. It needs a picture. All story books have pictures" she said.
"That one!" I said. "I think this would be perfect for my story book." I smiled. I took a picture of it with my phone and emailed it to my publisher.
