Emily's POV

" Emily! You can't go home with him tonight," Ashley nearly exclaims. " I wasn't planing on it. You do realize I have my own house, right?" I ask.

" Yeah, I'm not stupid. But I mean, don't let him take you home. It's getting a little out of control. Don't you think? He's always flirting. No way that's just cousinly love anymore. I'm just trying to protected you from the road ahead. A bad one, at that," he says.

" Well thank you. But how do I know you won't do the same. Should I stay away from you as well? Should I not go home with you either?" I ask purposely trying to anger him. " Well, that is a possibility. But I'm not your cousin," he adds. " Yes, but you are the brother I never wanted," I say again.

Standing there, trying not to laugh, I stare at Ashley. " You must not realize how perfect you are," he states blankly. " Uh, no, not you too," I sigh. " Is it not natural for an awesome person to mess with a totally unawesome nobody?" he asks jokingly.

" Since when have you had such a dark heart?" I ask. " Since I joined this stupid band," he grunts. " If it wasn't for this 'stupid' band, I probably would be dying right now," I whisper. Ashley stares at me shocked but then he looks confused like he is still figuring out what I had said. Like he is still trying to comprehend what I said.

" By the way, you will never replace my brother," I say spinning around and walking over to Cody. Not knowing really why, I lean up against him and wait for him to wrap an arm around me, like he normally does. Of course, being the jerk he is, Ashley walks over and grabs hand. Pulling me through the crowd, he continuously curses under his breathe.

He leads me out of the meeting room and into another. " Listen, I'm not saying this again. Cody is bad. Get as far away from him as possible. I've warned you once and never again will I. Next time, I will personally take you out of this situation. You'll have to stay with the guys and I. Got it?" he ask.

I nod looking away. " I have a feeling you're just saying that," Ashley argues. " That's it. I'm going to take you home. You'll be safer with us," he adds. " Fine! I don't care! You can kidnaped me as well! No one will care!" I yell throwing my hands up. Ashley steps closer. " I think I'll just do that," he says narrowing his eyes.

Scared, by instinct, I step backwards. " Ashley," I sigh shakily. He steps backwards at the call of his name. It wasn't me. " Ashley!" someone calls out again. Andy. He opens the door and finds the two of us standing in the empty room.

" Woah, did I walk in on something?" he asks. I shake my head half scared to talk because of me possibly stuttering or totally not being able to speak. I had a hard enough time with saying Ashley, as it is. Ashley looked at me. So did Andy. " You okay? You're all pale," Andy asks. I throw him a fake smile. Once again, I tried.

" M, you can't fool me," he says looking serious. " I've done it once before," I whisper. I did pretty well on not stuttering. Not so much on actually being able to speak. " Okay. Ashley, let's go," he motions for the door. I follow with my head down. Suddenly, Ashley leans next to me and whispers, " I'll be waiting out back."

What the heck did that mean? I guess he was serious about kidnapping me. I would be known as the girl who was taken by one she called a brother. Not really. But that would be cool. Being kidnapped by your own sibling. Although, Ashley really wasn't my brother.

Late after the concert

Idecided that I was just going to let Ashley or Andy take me back to my house. There was no point in getting mad about it. It's easier to just do as asked instead of argue about it. Maybe Ash would change his mind. I doubt it. He's a pretty stern person when it comes to protecting the ones he loves.
