Hide x Reader || ?Amnesia ?||

Normal day, hopefully normal events.

Your mind has been astray every since your last visit paid to hide, his actions and words ended up sticking to you like an adhesive it made you think that things were normal again like the two of you could just pick up where you left off before the incident. Overall it made you nervous and anxious.

Scared.

A cup of coffee was delivered to your table and a certain black haired male hesitantly seated himself across from you while you fiddled with your hands and kept your mind in thought.

"Y/n? "
The charcoal haired male you know as kaneki questions. You flinch a bit in surprise since you weren't paying much attention  to the surroundings so you were completely oblivious to him sitting across from you.

"O-oh kaneki!"

"how are you holding up? " Kaneki asks taking note on your tired form. Damn him for noticing everything.

"I'm doing fine, tired from working so much I guess. it's starting to finally catch up to me huh? " You say to him as you rub a hand over your cheek as if to reveal how 'weary' you look.

"N-no that's not what I'm saying at all!  I was talking about.. You know."

Kaneki pauses briefly before sighing a bit.

"Did he tell you when he was being released? "

"Tomorrow."

"Really? "

He gave me a look that told me he was definitely dead serious, inner me was happy and giddy about it and outer me was no different to be honest, a genuine smile plastered itself upon my lips as we continue to talk about it plus other things happening in life.

You have no idea how happy I am.

**Hide POV? **
(A/n: I'm bad at these so it's gonna be kinda short sorry if its shitty //-_-)

Lately I've been remembering more than usual especially about y/n and our relationship before I ended up in here. I dont blame her for having such an expression on her face after I practically hugged her out of nowhere. But something inside me told me to, more like told me I had to. She did look pretty upset about something that day though so I thought that might've helped her but... Maybe not. She's probably so confused now all because of me! This is so confusing even for me... This is my last day here anyways when we start spending more time together maybe things will start to clear up more. 

I sure hope it does.

*** next day

Rain pours down outside and you can't seem to stop thinking about the countless things that occurred while it rained with hide. Today would be one hell of a soft day spent cuddling and watching random stuff on TV or playing games.

What about now?

What would we do together?

Your thoughts swarm around in your head and makes you even more nervous of hide's arrival; which is to be soon.

Knock knock knock

Knocking interrupts the thoughts from consuming you any more. Instead a cloud in your throat as you walk towards the door to welcome your boyfriend(?)back home once again.

my heart feels like your still not here??
