You lightly smile at the technically glowing male in front of you, he seemed to be better physically since everything had happened but his memory was obviously still fuzzy bits and pieces. Your e/c orbs fall downcast which the male takes notice of immediately but judging but your expression you didn't want to talk about it.

"So.. "

A quiet sigh only escapes through your mouth as you think of something to say but your voice seems lost.

"Y/n."

In shock your eyes snap upwards at the blonde after you hear your name, both of you wear a confused expression as you both stare at each other. The awkward atmosphere doesn't shift so easily and it makes you wish you were better at striking conversations.

"They told me about everything that happened."

"Did they really?"

"Yeah."

"Sorry I don't remember much as of now."

Hide trails off a slightly sad look reflecting off of his brown eyes. I shake my head in disagreement.

"It's okay.."

I say breaking the uncomfortable and thick atmosphere that surrounds us. I can't help but blame myself internally for not being quick enough.

"Excuse me for a sec. "

"Of course. "

You walk out of the room with your feelings eating you from the inside, you were on edge.. Was it because of kaneki or something else?
