In an 1870 - 80's era, in a large manor lives a slave girl serving a rich man and his unruly guests (some sorts of "bachelor" manor for rich men). Being the only slave, she's not only overworked but treated badly as well. When finding 5 runaway children in the forest, she hides them in the mansions farm. She promises to let them live on the estate in exchange that thy help out with her chores in secret. The children happily agree, but refuse to tell her their actual names, being closed off whenever she asks about their personal lives.
Winnie
Winnie has a cold, aloof personality which stems from his harsh upbringing. While having a distant attitude in public, in secret she's noticeably more sociable, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling. Even though she feels left out and underappreciated, she works hard to keep the manor and her master's together. She is cursed with a stammer that comes up on emotional occasions. Winnie has a somewhat pragmatic, unenthusiastic and teasing personality which is shown a lot to those she finds irritating.

He's a far better trickster and won't hesitate to take an arm for an eye. Fenrir is intelligent, mischievous, sly and charismatic. He is a natural leader and appears to be the chieftain of the children. He is an extremely brave individual, unafraid to stand up to others. He is also a little hot-tempered when things don't go his way.

Griffin will deviate between acting selfishly and selflessly, depending on her mood, which is easy to alter.
Sphinx
A boy of oddity and riddles. No one is more inquisitive and satisfied by answers. However if the answer is not what he wants, then someone has to pay the price. Sphinx is considered highly intelligent by his siblings, being Fenrir's second in command. He is tenacious and sly, as well as being open-minded and very cunning. His cleverness outclasses that of many of his siblings. He doesn't like being wrong, very prideful in his smarts. He is generally very level-headed and calm even in very dangerous situations, but he isn't above falling into a panic. Sphinx can be very blunt with his explanations about the mistakes and situations of something or someone when asked.

Harpy is most the dangerous when there family is in danger or harmed. She's not beyond reason but no one should dare to cross her. She's slightly more sensible, but doesn't do much about the other kids' mischief. She is very overprotective of all her siblings. Harpy is a very crude, violent, arrogant, and aggressive person. Her personality reflects her fighting style: mercilessly assaulting the opponent and having no regard for nearby objects, merely destroying them with her strength. Despite this, she's quite talented in fighting. In spite of his cruel and selfish behavior, she is not unable to show a more vulnerable side. As she is capable of crying in front of others. Also, despite her stubbornness in her refusal to admit when she's afraid, she is capable of showing genuine fear.

He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient and exhorts very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps. Despite his apathetic traits, Griffin genuinely cares about his siblings and will go to great lengths to protect them.
