*Ella's POV*

Friday finally came around. I couldn't really tell if the butterflies in my stomach were because I was nervous about the date, or if I just wasn't looking forward to seeing Aiden and Leila together. Just now, I am sitting staring at my wardrobe while Leila's in the shower. I have no clue what to wear. She's the one who's good at all this girly-date stuff. I mean she's been on loads, and to be honest, this was my first one. My first date. Scary thought. My hair sat in waves down my back, it's natural state after drying. I think Leila was wanting to put it up or something but I'll just let her deal with it. I glanced over at the clock, half 4. Right, an hour and a half left to go. I heard the shower turn off, and after a minute Leila stepped out in her jogging bottoms and tank top, her hair tied in a towel like a turban.

"Right, let's get you sorted first, it should only take half an hour or so then I'll get ready," she said excitedly while grabbing a hairbrush, bobbles and kirbys. I knew by now that there was no point in arguing with her so I just let her do it. After 20 minutes, she had finished my hair and make-up.

"You're looking amazing Ella! And I know the perfect dress for you to wear," she squealed while raking through my wardrobe. After a few minutes, she pulled out a dress. It was the dress I had worn to my Aunty and Uncle's wedding a few years ago. It was pink, lacy material and had a flower pattern on it. When I'd worn it before it had come down to my knees, but I had grown a lot in the few years.

"Go throw this on while I quickly do my hair," she said while shoving me into the bathroom.

I quickly took off my jeggings and superdry t-shirt and slipped the dress on. I must admit that it was an amazing dress, but it was a bit short. I was just away to turn around to look in the mirror when Leila pounded on the door,

"No, don't look in the mirror yet, I want you to see the full thing once I've finished," she screamed at me. How she knew I was away to, I do not know. I was away to point out that all she had to do was find me shoes, but then realised that wouldn't get me anywhere.

"Okay okay, I'm coming out now," I replied, yanking the door open. She was sitting on my bed straightening her hair. She had changed into a shimmering black dress which came down to her knees. She looked beautiful.

"I left a pair of shoes out over there for you, then you can look in the mirror," she said while montioning towawrds the wardrobe. I looked around and saw a pair of simple, strappy black heels. I slipped them on then turned to look in the mirror.

I gasped. That wasn't really me. Was it? The girl that stared back at me had her brown hair up in a bun on the top her head, with a few loose curls at the side to frame her face. Her make-up wasn't too over the top, and her dress fitted her perfectly, enhancing how skinny her waist was. She looked, for lack of other words, beatiful.

"I love it Leila thank you so much," I finally said while grabbing her into a hug.

"It's fine babe, just a little thank you for setting me up with Aiden," she laughed. The smile suddenly dropped from my face. I can't believe I'd forgotten. Oh well, I refuse to let anyone spoil my fun tonight, I'm going to have a blast! I took another look in the mirror.

"Are you sure it's not too short," I said while trying to pull it down a little. I came to about halfway between my hips and my knees, and I know some people wear skirts much shorter than that, but I wasn't a slut.

"No, it's fine. You look stunning!" she replied.

"Okay then," I sighed, still a bit self conscious. Then the door bell rang, and Leila squealed excitedly, grabbing my hand and pulling me downstairs, but all I could think was I hope that Aiden likes my outfit.
