*Aiden's POV*
As soon as I heard the first clap of thunder, the first thing that came to my mind was Ella. She would be lying in her house terrified out of her mind. But I don't know if she'd want to see me, since she's been ignoring me for the past week. I always used to comfort her though. Always. During my internal battle, the storm got stronger and pictures from the past resurfaced. I forced myself to relive these times, where I would hold her close all night, listening to her sob and feeling her shake. It haunted me that she would be like this and there would be nothing that I could do apart from stay with her until it was over.
Right, that's it. I've made up my mind. I quickly grabbed my jacket and slipped it on, the rain was battering down, and even though her house was only next door I was going to get soaked! I whipped open the door, and saw the trees across the street waving in the wind. The rain was pelting it down, so much that the second I stepped out from under cover I was drenched. I sprinted over to her house and pounded on her front door. The thunder and lightning were getting more regular now, this used to be when she'd go into a panic attack. I hope I'm not too late! The door swung open to reveal Ella's mum,
"I came over to see Ella, is she alright," I mumbled quickly, I'm surprised she could understand me.
"Oh I'm sorry darling, she's at Sean's. Thank you for coming over though, she would have appreciated it," she said looking at me with pity. I think she knew. She knew what I felt.
"Okay, well thank you," I replied before turning around and running back into the storm, my tears merging with the rain. I was running, to where I do not know. I couldn't think straight as images of Sean and Ella together painted themselves in my mind. That was my job! And if I'm perfectly honest, I was jealous. She basically just ditched me for him. I know I haven't been the nicest to her lately, but come on!
By now I was soaked to the skin, and shivering from the cold. I had ended up at the park that we used to play at when we were little. I sat on the swings and just swung back and forth, remembering all the good times we had had here. All the memories came flooding back and it brought a smile to my face. As I sat there swinging in the rain, listening to the thunder, an idea materialised in my brain. I now knew exactly what I was going to do to win her back, and it wouldn't be easy. With a new found energy I made my way back to my house. The sooner I got started the better.
*Ella's POV*
I woke up in Sean's arms. Dried tears on my face, mascara smudged all over the place. Memories from last night came back, I inwardly cringed, feeling sorry for Sean for having to put up with me. Storms were my worst fear, I'd probably call it more of a phobia. I don't know what started it but ever since I could remember, whenever there was a storm I would end up crying and shaking. Some people might think it was childish, but it was bloody petrifying to go through - and believe when I say I would rather not be like this. Sean was still asleep, poor thing. I probably kept him up well into the morning with my little breakdown. He was so sweet looking after me though. I wonder if Aiden thought about me at all last night, he knows firsthand how much of a wreck I can be. He probably didn't though, he doesn't seem to care for me anymore.
"Morning El," I heard a groggy voice say from beside me.
"Morning," I said with a small smile. I still felt really bad!
"I'm so sorry for last night," I continued. "You should have just taken me home, I've been such a burden to you!"
"Nonsense! You are my girlfriend and I will look after you, and whenever you need me I will be here. Now stop feeling bad, you didn't do anything wrong!" he exclaimed.
"But..." I started before his lips crashed down onto mine, preventing me from making further conversation. As soon as his lips claimed mine I forgot about what I was arguing about and just let myself enjoy it, before a knock on the door made us both jump apart.
