During high school I had gone on quite a few time-space travel adventures, but I still had to go to college. I went to Brown University--close, but not too close for comfort.
My mom and dad got back together just fine, and my brother was in high school. He went on some of our adventures too, but that's another story.
While attending Brown School of Engineering, I would still spend time in the school practice rooms. I had picked up an extra instrument hobby in the years since my encounters with The Beatles (guitar). As long as you reserved time you could use the practice rooms even if you weren't a music student.
One day, when leaving the practice rooms, I ran into a tall, dark haired, young looking man, who looked incredibly familiar.
"Sorry!" he said. His British accent sticking out.
Once I got to my feet and looked closer at him, I realized that it was none other than Dhani Harrison. An almost carbon copy (as far as looks) of George.
"H-hi," I stammered.
Dhani laughed, and asked me about the guitar, what I liked to play, et cetera.
One thing led to another, and we walked through the campus together, talking non-stop about music.
In a split second decision, I decided to do something risky.
"Dhani, would you like to go out some time?"
He smiled, "Of course, but I don't even know your name!"
"Penny," I smiled, and started writing down my phone number.
As we parted ways, I thought how I knew The Beatles' future when I met them. But not mine. I still had time to write my own future, and find my own love story. And maybe, just maybe, in the process I'd cross paths with some talented, special, people again.
