The Stand Of Change

Violently ripping the soldier out of the air I did everything I could to protect Kira. None of them new the power of a capture trooper could do, one alone could kill this entire camp on his own. Ships and ravagers couldn't get to close because of the terrain. The ambush was going in our favour. This was a stand to show the strength of the ISA in the darkest of time. Explosions and chunks of the planet went off all around me. A few of the troops tried to get a ship in the air for some air support.

Looking up five troopers lunged on to the transport making it spin out of control and inevitably crashing. It was a game to them it was all a game. We were on a ridge line stuck in a corner. Toying with us taunting us it for amusement. We were running low on ammo and some attempted to charge in with there knives and fists. The troops gave them a slow painful death. Some set on fire others you could hear there wailing cries as they were impaled. The troops began to light fires to get us away from the ridge. Smoke was everywhere I couldn't even see the glowing eyes of the helghans. At one point a few walked right past me without seeing me. Panicked I got as close to the edge as I could already I know where I somewhat was. In all the commotion and hell I forgot about Kira. My heart sunk as my worries came back. Infront of me a trooper was walking infornt of me with out knowing. I snapped his neck and ripped off his helmet. The heat vision would allow me to get an idea where she is.

Looking around I saw alot of cold lifeless bodies both helghan and ISA. My eye was caught seeing a rather smaller body underneath a few crates. As fast as I could I rushed over to get her out of this jungle. As I came closer I quietly pushed the crates off her and picked her up. Not knowing it was me she panicked sending her knife into my arm. Kneeling down I ripped off my helmet to show her it was me, looking up she was is in tears she didn't know it was me and acted in self defense.

We had to move and get off this ridge knowing the jungle tactics the helghans left there ships ungaurded meaning we could escape. Looking back we seen a few troops making a last stand with what ammo they had left. Some killed them selves others were captured or executed. A handful of survivors came with us I was the only one that could fly and understand the ship. A surviving officer gave me rallying coordinates to go to. Shortly after a distress signal was sent out to all survivors on the planet to head to the rallying point.

Kira sat beside me she wouldn't look me in the eye or answer my questions. She felt awful for almost killing me. I don't blame her I would've done the same thing, eventually she will see I am not angered or upset but understanding of her actions.

We went farther north towards the frozen mountains.we got word that there was going to be a prison break to rescue POWs. Along with trying to get off this rock. The facility was one of the most defended it would take a miracle to achieve our goals.
