I looked into a thousand eyes today,
But I found none as captivating as his.
The dark, onyx coloured eyes,
May not be the ones which are described in poetry.
But they sure do contain an intensity,
Which I'm sure great writers won't be able to describe.
They contain dark secrets and untold stories,
The glint most boys have is absent in his.
The maturity with which he understands,
Every word his broken best friend says,
Is not a quality you find in every guy.
I look into them and I swear,
I forget to breathe for a second.
Neither of us moved for a moment,
And then I broke eye contact.
Because, darling, that's how,
Souls catch fire.
And in that moment,
I felt like the whole world was burning.
