Listening to the birds chirping,
On a Saturday evening,
A wave of nostalgia passes through.
I am suddenly reminiscing our moments,
Under the stars in the grass field.
The nights that you sang to me, baby,
We're the times I had the most peaceful slumber.
Waking you up the next morning,
And realising I never want you leaving.
Discussing the best events of the day,
Knowing it was right then with you.
Never did I feel so safe,
Until I made my way into your arms.
Not solving each other's problems,
But standing by you when you fight them,
Was what we called believing in each other.
Sometimes, life's so weird without you.
Some people are born with,
Tragedy in their blood, I guess.
You lost your chance then,
Now you're on your knees,
Begging me to come back.
But as much as I miss us,
I'm happy with him.
And I guess, I finally found my happily ever after.
