It was during their final exams, a year ago, when Ash had told Misty that he liked her and wants her to be his Girlfriend but she rejected him saying that he was not her type. Ash cried his heart out in his room and that was when Lily helped him to recover. He never knew that Lily liked him too and she never confessed as well. During the whole time Serena knew that Ash was hurt and wanted to comfort him but her parents never allowed her to stay anywhere near him. Though she was the first one he trusted after Clemont and told her everything about himself. As the days passed she felt herself missing him more and more but never knew that she would really fall in love with him. Their exams went nice and everything after that was pretty fine but a rift was created netween him and her and they never really talked to each other. As months passed Serena became more fond of Ash and realized that she had fallen in love.
