When depression kicks in your will to do most ANYTHING leaves completely, so here are some things you can do in your bed for those days you can absolutely not function. ⚠️Warning, not everyone with depression might experience this but it is extremely common⚠️
-if you've been scrolling through Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat etc put your phone down and listen to a podcast or some relaxing music it'll help rest your eyes and relax you I promise. (Shane Dawson does funny podcasts weekly. Coast to Coast a.m does podcasts from 10pm-4am about paranormal stuff every night) ⭐️🌛
-this is one not everyone is familiar with but I've learned meditating can help big time. Lye facing up with your hands and legs in a comfortable position and just clear your mind, let any thoughts pass through if they come and do not force them out. This always helps me relieve unwanted tension and helps clear my groggy mind a little. 🌻🌞
-if you start feeling very heavy look around the room and spot ten objects. Take note of them in your brain. Or close your eyes and picture a falling leaf drifting down to the floor while breathing in and out in a steady long rhythm. These methods have been proven to relax your mind and calm you.🌚🌊
-stretch, yes you can stretch lying down. Just extend one leg as far as you can and then the other. Arch your back or raise your hands in the hair for a little. Crack your knuckles or neck if needed to help relieve bone discomfort. This will help you feel more comfortable and less heavy. 🍒🌹
-respond to any missed texts or calls and tell them about your situation (of course that's optional but you'll find if you can open up to even one person then you'll have a HUGE weight lifted off your shoulder.)🌬☁️
-clean out your phone, change the background. Delete old conversations, pictures, notes and apps you don't need. It'll help you feel more tidy and less crowded.🍁🍂
