Chapter 13: birthday wishes

*Fast Forward to 14 years later*

Rosie's POV

I woke up to dad jumping on my bed yelling happy birthday at the top of his lungs. I put my blankets over my head and groaned loud he laughed at me. And pulled the blankets off my head "see you down stairs miss 14 year old! Your growing up so fast seems like only yesterday you were my tiny baby in a blanket!" He said and went out of my room I got up and picked out my outfit. I decided on Holster jean shorts and a royal blue crop top from Victoria Secrets that said Pink in cursive letters. And my high top white converse. I went into my bathroom and did my business, and got a shower, then I dried off and put on my clothes then brushed my teeth. I put on my perfume that my dad got me a few weeks ago and I didn't put any make up on cause I don't wear any in the summer unless I feel like it or have to.

I went down stairs and saw dad, auntie Justice, and my best friend Audrey they all wished me a happy birthday. "So today we gotta a surprise for you ok so we're gonna go to the car and take a little ride. Let's go!" Dad said "wait what about breakfast?" I asked "we got that covered. We're gonna be out all day we'll probably get back around 6." Justice said I nodded my head in excitement. We got into dad was driving and Justice was in the passenger seat me and Audrey sat in the back. We started to head out of town I tried to think of the places we would be going.

"do you have any idea where there taking us?" I asked Audrey "no actually they wouldn't tell me cause they knew I would tell you" she said I laughed just then my favorite song came on the radio I was jamming a long and me and Audrey were goofing off. Then we stopped I looked out side and saw we were at my favorite restaurant it's little diner just out of town it was old time themed which I loved and there food was excellent! "Omg yay I love this restaurant!!" I said jumping up and down "come on then let's go eat." Dad stated me and Audrey went inside it was cool in there we walked over to a booth in the back I sat next to Audrey and Dad and Justice sat across from us. We were all talking about random stuff when the waiter came over to take our order.

"Hello my name is Todd what would you like to drink?" A guy asked us "I'll have tea." Justice said "I'll have coffee" dad said "can I have chocolate milk?" I asked he nodded yes "and I'll have a Pepsi" Audrey said the guy wrote down our order and went to get our drinks. "So Rosie what have you been hoping to get?" Audrey asked "honestly I don't want much I have everything I ever wanted... that makes me sound spoiled but what I am saying is I don't want anything really." I said "oh come on you have got to have something you have been wanting." She said to me I thought for a moment and remember when I went shopping with dad I saw this really cute necklace that had a butterfly on it and it had diamonds. "Well... I saw this really pretty butterfly necklace when I went shopping with dad." I told her

We talked about what might happen today when the guy came over with out drinks And placed them in front of us. I took a few sips and he asked us what we would like to eat. "I'll have strawberry pancakes and sausage." Justice said "me to" Audrey said "I'll have chocolate chip pancakes with hash browns" dad said it was my turn to order I had to think the had a lot of good food "um I'll take French toast with bacon please." I said he wrote it down and went back to the kitchen.

*skip after breakfast*

Once dad paid for our food we went back to the car I was stuffed. We drove for about a hour and my phone was about to die. "Justice can you plug my phone in please?" I asked her politely "ofc Rose" She said and plugged it in I rested my head on Audrey's shoulder and put a ear bud in we were watching The Kissing Booth. Before I knew it I started to fall asleep.

I woke up to Audrey tapping my shoulder. I looked around and realized we stoped somewhere I got out and it was a big parking lot I walked by my dads side and we enter the airport. I wonder where we are going? What about luggage and stuff we needed to pack. I asked dad and he said he got that taken care of.
