Betty’s p.o.v
I woke up in my bed this morning at 8:00 am and I remembered I
was meeting Veronica at 9:00. I slowly got up, restlessly. My
movements were slow. I didn’t get much sleep last night. I went to bed
at maybe 12:00 am. I was thinking about Jughead. He had been gone for
so long. I haven’t seen him in maybe 2 weeks. I tried texting him. I
opened my phone and said “Hey Jughead, I miss you… Can we meet at
Pops or your place sometime? I haven’t seen you in forever - B❤” The
message sent. I got out of bed finally and got dressed. I put my hair up
in its everyday ponytail and put some white slides on. I wore a blue
dress with a pearl necklace. I thought about texting Veronica, but I
knew she was probably driving. I sent one anyway saying “Hey V, we still
meeting for breakfast at Pops? Don’t reply if you’re driving. - B” I put my
phone back into my purse and walked out the door. My mother was
standing in the kitchen pouring a glass of orange juice from a pitcher
my grandmother had given her. I turned around for a split second and
slammed the door behind me. I got into my car and drove away. I
arrived at Pops, obviously before Veronica and a few minutes later she
pulled into the driveway and parked. We both walked inside and
ordered something different today. I got a text from Jughead finally and
it said “Hey Betty, won’t be back for another week or so. Sorry. - Love Jug”
I thought about those words. “Love Jug” I told Veronica about all of this.
She told me not to worry, and he’s just busy. But then I thought again
He’s in the Southside. He’s a serpent. That jacket fits on him like a glove.
It was designed for him. He belongs there. But he belongs here more. I
tried to contain my thoughts and went back to talking to Veronica. We
had about an hour long talk and we both drove off on our separate
ways. I headed to the mall. I needed something new. I decided to be like Veronica and buy something out of my comfort zone. I searched
around the mall for a little and I got a text from my mom “Where are
you”
I ignored her. I continued shopping. After that, I couldn’t find anything
so I just walked out. I left the store and I went back home. When I
walked in the door my mom said to me “Where did you go Betty?” I
ignored her and stomped up the stairs. I slammed my bedroom door
hard and layed down on my bed. I could hear my mothers sigh from
here. I remembered the time me and Jughead first met at school with
Archie. Then I remembered how much I missed Archie too. He went
away for a few days with his dad who was recently released. They get
back on Thursday. Today was Monday. I remembered how me and
Jughead used to hangout every Monday after school. I missed my
friend group. I decided to call Kevin. He answered after a few rings. I
said “Hey Kevin, want to hangout today?” and he said “Yeah sure” We
both headed out and met up at the park.

Betty called. My phone ringed and Nicki minaj's Song played
from it. I covered the mic and answered “Hey Betty, what’s up?” We
decided to hangout for lunch. I bought sandwiches and she bought
chips and we bought our own drink. We got to the park and sat at a
table. We saw Cheryl in the distance on a swing. We decided not to go
over to her cause she might 1.Scream at us 2.Punch us 3. Or try to be
friendly, which isn’t always the best. But we weren’t going to risk it so
we kept eating. After we ate we went to the mall.I found a bunch of
things to wear and so did Betty.Then we stopped outside a store I dared
not to enter but I did anyways for Betty “Victoria secret” Betty went to
the other sections of the store while I stayed in the Perfume area. I
ended up paying for half of Betty's stuff cause she forgot her credit card
at home and her regular money wasn't enough because “Victoria
secret” is expensive.I didn't know what Betty had me pay for but she wouldn't let me see what was in the bag. All I knew was it was black and
I think I saw a wig in their but I could be mistaken.
Jugheads pov
I texted Betty, feeling bad because I hadn’t seen her in so long. I said
“Hey Betty. Pops at 4?” It was 2:30 now. I drove on my motorcycle to my
house. She responded when I arrived there and she said “Of course -
Betty” I changed out of my serpent jacket because betty doesn’t like it
when I wear it, she thinks it doesn’t suit me and she doesn’t like
knowing the fact that Tonis in the group. She hates Toni cause of the
kiss a while back. I changed into a sweatshirt and jeans. I got on black
sneakers and my crown beanie. I waited for about an hour before
leaving my house and I sat eating chips for a few minutes. It was 3:30
so I decided to leave then. I got on my motorcycle and headed out. By
the time I got there it was almost 4. I saw Betty standing outside
already because she’s early to everything even her surprise birthday
party. I stopped my motorcycle and yelled “Hey Betty” she said “Hi Jug”
We walked inside and I opened the door for her. Betty walked inside
and I shut the door quietly behind me. We sat down at a booth and a
waitress came over. I ordered a vanilla milkshake with a large burger.
Betty ordered fries with vinegar and a strawberry milkshake. We
waited a few minutes. “So, how have you been?” she smiled “I’ve been
okay, how have you been, more importantly where have you been?”
Betty looked worried and I said “Betty, I told you before, I have to go to
the Southside to clean up business for my father I’ll be back soon. I have
to go back later.” I thought of Toni. She sighed and said “Ok fine, but
promise me you’ll call when you’re done.” I nodded “Of course I will”
after a while our meal came, I took a bite of my burger while Betty went
over to the counter to get ketchup. I texted Toni “See you later?” I
quickly put my phone away as I saw Betty turn around and walk back.
She returned to the table and she said “Who are you texting?” I said
“Uh, just a friend of my dads, from the South Side.” she said “Oh what did he want?” “He wanted to see me later to clear a few things up to
keep my dads record in place.” I felt bad for lying, but it was for the
best. I loved Betty, but I also loved Toni. After we finished eating Betty
hugged me and I went out the door. I gave Betty a hug and a kiss and I
left for Toni’s.
