Borrowed Love

Chapter 2

"Zeke, be nice" I remind as Jacob comes strolling over to us. Several girls have made attempts to get his attention but he seems to only have eyes for me and that makes me feel special.

"Hey babe" I say as he snakes his arm around me. Zeke makes a gag face and Dani playfully smacks his arm but giggles. I give them the 'stop it' look as Zeke rolls his eyes. Jacob smirks at him before turning his attention back to me. "Hey sugar lips" he says before he kisses me, tongue and all.

"Ugh! You're disgusting" Zeke says before leaving, Dani trailing closely behind. "Zeke isn't my favorite person. I think he's got a thing for you" Jacob says as he stops kissing me, realizing Zeke is gone. "Zeke?? No! We've been best friends for years!" I say in defense as we walk together to my locker. If Zeke had a thing for me, I would've known.

"Best friends or not, he's still a guy and you're still hot. I'm absolutely positive he's thought about you naked at least once" he says as we stop in front of my locker and I put in the combination. "Now that's stretching it" I say, absent of emotion. Zeke is just not that type of person. "Ask him and tell me if I'm wrong" he says when I swing my locker door open and switch books that I need for first and third block. Second block is work study on X days so I'm in the library Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It's freaking great! I get to read or write the whole time since usually no one comes to the library before first lunch. On Y days, it's Calculus. I obviously favor X days heavily over Y days.

"I will be doing no such thing, you delusional human being" I say, shutting my locker and setting the lock back in place. "Because I'm right and you know it?" he asks as he laces our fingers together and we begin to walk down the hall. We have our first block, which is English, together. "No, because unlike you, I don't believe everyone of the opposite sex wants to see me naked" I say as I playfully nudge him to the side.

"That is actually the case for me and I don't appreciate that being downplayed," he says. I roll my eyes, strolling into the classroom as Jacob has held the door for me. "Besides, you're my lady. You're the only girl who actually gets to see me naked... Anymore" he mumbles the last part. But I hear him and playfully smack his arm as he chuckles. "I better be. Or I'll kill you and the bitch right where you are" I say as the bell to begin the day starts blaring.

"You'll have to catch us first" he says. I pinch his wrist before he can move out of the way. He rubs the skin as he mumbles things such as 'shit' and 'I was just playing'. Now it's my turn to wear the smile. "Alright class, settle down" Our teacher demands as she raises from her chair and walks to the board to begin class.
