Okay...

What am i doing again?

I'm following my apparent shadow in a weird world where everything is disoriented.

Right.

Because that's totally normal.

The shadow stopped in front of a cave, and gestured for me to come next to it.

"She should know where Christina is." She said. Then she just... dissolved.

"Hello?" I called out into the cave. "Anybody home?"

Two red eyes emerged from the darkness. They looked right at me.

That does not look friendly. "You know what, I think I'll actually be going."  I said. "I... um... I just heard my cat call me. You know how grumpy cats get when they're hungry..."

1. You don't have a cat

2. You must have amazing hearing to hear your "cat" from ANOTHER DIMENSION

3. Why are you talking about cats to a demon?

I get nervous ok?

*eye roll*

ANYWAY. I started backing away slowly. The thing slithered towards me. I laughed nervously.

It spoke. "I suppose you are looking for Christina?"

"Uh... yes... yes I am... uh..." All I could manage was a nervous smile. The thing came out of the darkness. It leaned against the wall of the cave. Its pointed demon tail flicked around it's feet. To be honest, if Christina had a soul in person form, I'm pretty sure - oooh. Oh, okay.

*Facepalms* Took you long enough. You have a shadow. Do you really think I don't?

The creature looked like whatever a demon might look like, except, she was made of what looked like a shadow. She carried a trident, which was, along with her pointed horns and her tail, not made of a shadow. They looked very solid. Also very sharp (and veeery dangerous). Her glowing red eyes flicked up at me. She seemed to be raising an eyebrow, but I'm not completely sure because she is a shadow. I remembered what she had asked me.

"Uh, yes. Have you seen her?"

She examined her claws. "Sadly, I have. I had this amazing plan to finally defeat her! It all started when I opened the portal to the Imagination Dimension. Then, I led her away from you, and then I would kill her when she was distracted!  But she dodged me. Ugh. Now I have to come up with a whole new plan." She seemed to be talking more to herself than to me.

Suddenly, I realized what she had just said. Not the part about killing Christina or anything, that didn't matter right now.

Wow, thanks.

What really mattered was that she said she opened the portal that got us here! We could get home! I pretended I didn't realize that, and asked her, "So, where's Christina?". When I met my shadow, she could read my thoughts, (she is my creation) so I assumed Christina's shadow could read hers.

She rolled her eyes. "Oh right, you're still here. She's in the Flarwhal Fields, healing. It's that hill over there." She pointed to a big neon yellow hill rising above everything. "I need to go come up with a plan to kill Christina. Go away now."

I didn't ask what Christina was healing from, I just assumed it was bad. I rested my eyes away from the blinding hill to look at the demon to thank her. (Out of habit, I already didn't like her)

But she was gone.

When I finally got to the hill, I was exhausted. I had yanked a flying backpack's person out of the backpack and had put my own arms through the straps instead. Then I had to learn how to fly the backpack, but by the time I had learned that it's the backpacks who are in control, there was a mob of flying backpacks flying towards us. We were going in the general direction of the hill, so I decided it was time to part ways.

I may or may not have jumped out of the backpack while it was flying ten meters above the ground. I landed in a tree, don't worry.

Then, I had to extract myself out of the tree.

Then, while I was walking towards the hill, I came across a pack of  Potatoecornes grazing in a clearing. They looked at me like they knew I wasn't supposed to be here, and they actually charged at me. They were pretty slow, though, because of their heavy potato bodies. I managed to wrestle a smaller one to exhaustion, and then I fed it some grass. It licked my hand. Ew.

So, when I finally got to the top of the hill, there I was with the Potatoecorne, both of us all tired from everything, and there was Christina lying in a hammock between two blue trees, with a crowd of flying whales around her. Her right arm was bandaged and she had a drink on a tree stump next to her. The whales were coming and going, bringing things and taking away others. They seemed to be... serving her?

I ran up to her. "Christina! I've found you! Where were you?"

"Sorry for running off," She said. "My shadow found me and tried to kill me. She hit my arm, though, and I looked for help. I found these Flarwhal Whales, and they healed me and brought me here. They think I'm their new queen. Please get me out of here." She grimaced.

"Don't worry," I said. "I think I know how to get us out of here!"
