Deceiving Lies

I GROAN AS my alarm clock beeps that stupid sound again. I grab it and hurl it against the door, quickly shutting it up.

Oh well, there goes another alarm clock. Call me the grinch.

I swing my legs over and stretch my arms over my head.

I put my head to the side and mull over whether I should ditch again or go to school.

I did only sleep like two to three hours so I am super tired.

I decided skipping school wasn't worth it since I couldn't fall behind in my schoolwork so I took a 5 minute shower and changed into a white tank top, skinny jeans and doc martens.

Typical clothes for an angsty teen. Me.

Rushing downstairs to make breakfast, I passed Toris room.

By the looks of it, her "mate" hadn't slept with her and she was by herself. I didn't resent her for it, it's not like she could have rejected and humiliated Jake out there.

I shrugged, who cares who he does?

I made it to the kitchen and starting cooking breakfast for the pack. I made about 25 scrambled eggs, 40 pieces of bacon and sausage. I put a whole loaf of bread to toast and started hollering for the pack to awaken.

The smell of fried eggs, bacon and toast start filling up the entire pack house.

I hear their groans of being awoken so early but I also hear their moans. I even hear one of them say "bless the lord!".

Chuckling to myself, I grab a plate for myself and head up to my room to eat and grab the rest of my stuff.

I eat slowly on my desk, and grab my orange juice from the fridge. As soon as I'm done, I wash the plate in my bathroom sink.

I grab my bag, phone, washed plate and head downstairs.

Smiling to everyone the passes by me and nodding to those who thank me for "a slice of heaven" as I drop off the plate in the drying rack.

I head to the door, and when I get there I instantly get annoyed. Blocking the door are my sister and her "mate".

Fake coughing, I grab their attention and raise my eyebrow.

My sister is the first to look up and blushes. Detangling herself from the parasite, she makes her way to me and gives me a quick hug.

"Hey! Did you shift last night? Sorry I couldn't shift with you, I had to be with jake" She nods her head to him.

I smile tightly. "It's fine! I shifted perfectly. Now, if you'll allow me the space, I have to get to school."

"Sure sorry for blocking your way! See you later" She nods and quickly makes space for me to pass, smiling at me.

I smile and hug her, making my way to my car.

My car isn't the newest but I love it all the same. It's a black Honda Accord 2016.

I keep my baby shiny clean so she looks brand new everyday.

As soon as I pull in to the parking lot of Khodiaks HS, the first bell rings.

I groan, I have five minutes to fast walk to my first period on the second floor. I was already beyond tired.

My first period is AP College English and I walk in just as the last bell rings. Mr. Kurt Vonnegut just nods at me as I walk into his class.

I sit in the back and when Mr.Kurt begins speaking, I doze off.

In the middle of class I awake to someone poking me. I lift my head and see that Mr. Kurt is still droning about.

I look to my left and see Jake and his Beta, Ace laughing their asses off.

I pretend to go to sleep and catch that they've been poking me with their pen. How immature.

I grab his pen as it reaches me. He looks shocked and grabs the pen away roughly, growling.

I roll my eyes and turn away. If he didn't want to be mad, he shouldn't have fooled around.

The bell rings and I get up, making my way out.

As I'm walking out the door, Jake bumps into me and smirks.

"Weak" He scoffs under his breath.

I ignore him and go to my locker to pick up my books for math class.

Making my way in class, I wave hello to Mr. Lopez before sitting down in my assigned seat.

When I sit down, I remember , I have him for every class.

Internally groaning, I prepare myself for what is going to be a long school day.

His seat is basically next to mine. Great.

All the other she-wolfs sigh in despair as his so-called mate Tori sits on his lap.

I wave hi to her and turn to ignore them.

After what seems hours but really was only a few minutes, the final bell rings and Tori skips off to her seat.

Before she left, she made sure she made out with him.

Staking her claim on someone who isn't hers? Agh why do I sound like I care.

I don't.

Yes, you do.

Shut up Skylar, I don't.

If you didn't, your leg wouldn't be shaking.

Ignoring her, I focus on the math question.

This was going to be a long day, that's for sure.
