Jughead watched as the love of his life talked to Veronica as people partied around them. They may be fighting right now but Jughead couldn't help but look at her. He still had the look of fascination when he looked at her that he had the moment they meet in the cafe.

"You okay dude?" Archie asked walking up to him.

"Yeah I'm okay" Jughead said then looked away from Betty.

"Same fight as last time?" Archie asked. Jughead nodded staring at his drink in his hand.

"Dude, you have been together five years just ask her to marry you." Archie said.

"I can't" he said looking up at Archie

"Why?"

"Because I wouldn't be a good husband." Jughead said. They both didn't notice that Betty and Veronica had made their way towards them.

"Who says that you wouldn't make a good husband?" Betty said. Jughead looked at her and sighed.

"I don't want us to end up like our parents." He said. Betty took his hand and lead him out of the house and turned him to her before taking his other hand.

"We won't be like our parents because we have one thing they don't."

"A sense of humor?" He said making Betty chuckle.

"No, we have true love and they don't." She said making Jughead stare at her.

"I love you" he said after a few minutes.

"I love you too now let's go home." She said before leading him to their car.

The Next Day

Jughead wiped his sweaty palms on his pants as he waited for Betty at Pop's for date night. He had dressed up in a suit and tie and left his hat at home wanting this moment to be perfect.

As he waited for her he thought back on the last five years, hey graduated high school, they ditched Betty's parents and anyone who was toxic to them, they stayed in contact with Jughead's dad, they moved in together into a nice apartment, Betty got a job as a report for the towns paper while Jughead continued to run the Serpents.

"Hey you okay?" Betty said touching his hand. Jughead pulled himself from his thoughts, smiled and took her hand.

"Yeah, just thinking about old memories." He said.

"Good memories I hope" she said sitting down across from him. She wore a yellow summer dress and wore light make up.

"You look beautiful" he said.

"Thanks, you look very handsome."

"Thanks" he said as the waitress came up to them.

"What can I get you two to drink?" She asked.

"I'll have a vanilla milkshake" Betty said.

"Same here" Jughead said.

"Coming right up" she said with a wink. Betty thought that was weird but shrugged it off knowing the woman was happily married to the cook. Jughead smiled before excusing himself to the bathroom. Betty sighed and took her phone out of her purse to check her messages.

A few seconds later the lights were dimmed and she looked around to see that all of the people that were in here were gone minus two guys who were setting up a projector in front of her booth. She tried to ask them what was going on but no one answered her. A second later the projector was turned on and a picture of Jughead and her popped up as Perfect by Ed Sheeran started. As the slide played with pictures of them it quickly turned into pictures of Jughead with a note that says day one of asking Betty to marry me.

Pictures of Jughead with notes saying marry me Betty, will you marry me, become my wife please with Betty not paying attention in the background came over the screen randomly. There were three hundred and sixty five of them and by the end of the song and slide she was in tears. Jughead came out from the back and walked over to her. He got down on one knee beside her and pulled out a ring box from his pocket before opening it. Betty gasped at the large diamond ring.

"Elizabeth Betty Cooper, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" He asked.

"Of course I will" she said. Jughead smiled and took the ring out of the box and slid it on her ring finger, he then leaned up and kissed her.

One year later

"One more push Betty" the doctor said. Betty grabbed her husband's hand and pushed with all her might. The baby popped out and Betty cried in relief as she listen to their baby cry.

"It's a girl" the doctor said.

"Her name is Bella Jones, no middle name." Betty said as the doctor set a clean Bella in her arms.

"Thank you Betty for making my life complete." Jughead said.

"Same here Juggy" she said.
