"Are you sure you don't want me to stay?" Maya Hart said. "We can just watch movies here."

"Maya, just go I will be fine." Riley said. Maya sighed before getting of her best friend's bed. They had just graduated high school a month ago and where now freshmen in college. They were suppose to be going to their first college party but Riley wasn't feeling good and decided to stay at their apartment.

"Fine, get some sleep" Maya said.

"I will" Maya left the apartment before hurrying to hail a taxi. She hailed one down and told the cab driver where to go before sitting back and relaxing a bit. After being dropped off at the house of one of the juniors she made her way to the front door as it swung open and out come to very drunk girls. Maya was starting to regret coming in the first place.

She walked into the house as No Control from One Direction started, Maya smiled loving the song. She walked deeper into the house looking for her friends who were invited too. After awhile of looking she decided they weren't coming so she went over to the refreshment table and took a look at what was there. She steered cleared of the alcohol and went for the pretzels and water. As she ate she swore she saw someone she knew. After a minute she shook her head decided she was seeing things and finished of her pretzels and water. She began to dance and enjoy herself.

As she danced guys would try to impresses her with their dance skill. Maya was a good dancer and no boy could keep up with her. It became a game to see who could out due her but everyone she danced with failed, even people who were studying dance and were seniors couldn't beat her. After a little while Maya decided to take a break and get a glass of water. She went over to the refreshment table and grabbed a bottle of water, as she drank her water and guy with shoulder length hair came up to you.

"Cool moves" he said.

"Thanks" Maya said.

"I'm C.J" he said.

"Maya" she said.

"I haven't seen you around before." He said.

"I'm a freshman"

"Cool, I'm a junior" he said.

"Nice, what's your major?"

"Business" he said.

"Cool" she said.

"Yeah it is" he said. They sat in awkward silence for a bit till Maya decided it was time to leave.

"Well it was nice-"

"Do you want to go somewhere a little more private?" He asked.

"No I'm going to head home" she said before saying her goodbye. She was about to leave when her arm was grabbed, she turned around to see it was C.J.

"Come on babe why don't we go and hang out at my place." He said.

"No thank you so take you slimey hand off me." She said.

"Don't be like that"

"C.J back off" A familiar voice said from behind Maya. "She's with me" Maya looked behind her to see Josh glaring at C.J, C.J let got of Maya's arm and stepped back.

"Whatever" he said then left. Maya turned around to look at Josh.

"Thanks" she said.

"You're welcome" he said. It had been awhile since Maya had seen Josh since he was a junior and was in different classes than her but he still got her heart racing.

"Where's Riley?" He asked.

"She isn't feeling well so she decided to stay home." She said making him nodded.

"Do you want to go get some real food I'm starving?" He asked.

"Sure" she said. He smiled making her heart race a little faster. He lead her through the crowd and outside to his car. They drove to a restaurant that was a eat-and-dance restaurant. They walked in and the waiter escorted them to a booth, they sat down and the waiter gave them two menus before asking what they liked to drink. Josh ordered a Pepsi and Maya ordered a Mountain Dew. The waiter nodded then left them to decide what they wanted. Josh decided on the chicken sandwich while Maya went for a cheeseburger.

"So how are you doing?" He asked.

"I'm fine" she said.

"That's good, how's your mom and Shawn, I haven't seen them since Jace was born."

"They are good and so is Jace" she said before pulling out her phone from her pocket and showing him a picture almost one year old Jace.

"He's getting big"

"Yup, he's starting to speak more and walk." She smiled before putting her phone away. The waiter came back with their drink then took their order. After she left Josh decided he wanted to dance so he went over to the DJ and requested a song. A minute later Girl Almighty by One Direction came on and Josh pulled Maya onto the dance floor.

"Am I the only, only believer? There's something happening here, there's something happening here."

Josh and Maya stared at each other as they moved closer to each other.

"The only, only believer, there's something happening here, I hope you feel what I'm feelin too."

As they were close to kissing the bell rang for their food and the moment was lost. They went back over to their booth and ate in silence, both thinking about the almost kiss. After eating Josh paid the bill and drove Maya to her apartment. Maya didn't get out of the car, they both just say there in awkward silence until Maya cleared her throat.

"Josh?"

"Yeah"

"Can we stop playing the long game and just be together?" She said making him let a breathe before leaning over, cupping her face in one hand before kissing her.

"Most definitely" he said against her lips.

Five years later

"Come on baby push" Josh said. Maya let out a cry as she pushed out her son. She cried as he was placed on her chest and cleaned. Maya looked at Josh and smiled.

"He's perfect" she said.

"Yes he is" Josh said.

After that night in Josh's car they spent a lot of time together after classes and on holiday breaks in secret since they weren't ready to tell anyone yet. Eventually, they did tell everyone and they weren't thrilled especially Riley but after they saw how happy they made each other they caved in and let it happen.

Nine months ago, Maya and Josh found out that their condom broke and freaked out. They waited for two weeks then took the test. Maya cried when she saw the plus sign. Josh held her and tried to comfort her while he tried not to cry. After a little while they sat down and had a honest talk. They talked for many hours until they decided that they wanted to keep the baby and raise it while still continuing their education. They knew it was going to be very hard but their love was strong enough and they were both stubborn. Their families were not very happy but Maya and Josh were determined to raise this baby together even more so when they found out they were having a boy.

"Can we have his name?" One of the nurses asked. Maya looked down at her son and smiled.

"His name is Logan Hart Matthews"
