Back story:

Quinn is the secret brother of Rydia, and one of the two survivors of the attack on the Mist village. Quinn was always alone living in the village, his foster parents never understanding why, they always liked how sweet he was, and how willing he was to help others.

At age ten the only friend he had was his awakened Eidolon, kirin. In the village everyone had a personal Eidolon, and generally you had someone with the same one, but Kirin was a unique holy Eidolon, and kids always laughed at its battle capability. Generally your Eidolon delt offensive damage with an element, but Kirin casted protect, shell, and regen on everyone in Quinn's party, which everyone laughed at. Aside from that, most summoners can cast both black and white magic at a young age, but then forget white magic and become strong in black magic. But Quinn always struggled with black magic and found strength in white magic, so he was alone practicing cure while the others were practicing fire and blizzard. The last reason kids teased him was because, while many summoners, especially the other boys, believed Leviathan, or at least Odin were the strongest of the Universal Eidolons, but Quinn never believed that. Quinn always felt Asura was the most powerful, for when she was summoned she could revive the dead and heal the living, which to him meant she could protect who she loved, just as he wished to do.

The day the fire started both of Quinn's foster parents sacrificed themselves to create a barrier around him so he could escape. After a long journey, accepting help from many people and seeing true monsters for the first time, till he found himself in a new life in Mysidia. What he didn't know is that his sister wasnt the only ones whose wheels of fate were turning.
