Legends and myths of sea monsters have existed for as long as civilization began. Some say the gigantic kraken still haunts the Scandinavian waters, the slimy vodyanoy entices its victim with an exciting game of cards before luring them to a watery grave, the handsome encantado seduce lonely women only to kidnap them to their underwater city, the dark umibozu topples ships on calm waters and the ikanyamba's wrath is powerful enough to cause sea storms.
Your challenge is to a write a short tale featuring a sea monster originating from a myth or legend.

1. The story must be new to Wattpad and written specifically for this contest. You can post as a separate story or as a chapter in an existing collection.
2. The maximum word count is 1000 words.
3. Pay close attention to grammar and spelling.
4. Your story must feature some kind of a sea monster originating from a myth or legend.
5. Mature content is not allowed.
6. Only stories written in English will be eligible for judging since we currently do not have other language capacities.
7. No fanfiction please.
8. To submit your entry, please post your story title and story link in the comments section.
