Chapter 5

Corys wedding

Brookes pov

I woke up to Checks licking my face. I walked down to my kitchen, let her out and there was a knock on my door. I opened it and it was the boys. "Hi, welcome."

"Did you just wake up." Ty asked me

"Yeah."

"The wedding is in an hour, get ready." Garrett said and pushed me up the stairs. I'm thankful for them, i laugh everyday for them.  I picked out my dress and it was this..

I walked down stairs and i let checks in and we headed to the wedding. I didnt want to see me only love get married but I'm not going to ruin ethier. I'll go as his best friend. The boys where in the wedding so i was by my self.

"Brooke, oh I've missed you." The twins mom said

"How was college."

"Good, I'm a videographer and editor for Dude Perfect."

"Yeah, Coby told me about that." She said

"I should find my seat." I said giving her a hug. I sat over to the wall. Amy walked down the alsie, they said there vows. They said i do and kissed. They walked down the alsie and after that we all headed out. I sat there, Garrett sat next to me.

"You wanna go to the party or not." He asked me

"Dont you have to go."

"Yeah."

"I'll go,  but leave when ever." I said and we walked to the truck. Tyler drove to the reception and we walked in. I got a hug from the twins sister, we always talked to.

"You okay, i know how you felt about him."

"I'm fine, now i know he doesn't feel the same about me. Yeah, im awesome." I said

"Brooke post this picture on dude perfect instragram please." Cody  asked, i posted the picture with the caption "congrats Cory Cotton and Amy Cotton for getting married today."

We where there for about 2 hours. Garrett decicded to go home, so i went with him. I hopped in his trick and we headed to my house.

"I'm staying, with you, you csn not be alone at this time." He said

"Why not, im fine."

"Your love just got married to soemoen else, i know how you feel, so I'm staying." He said, we walked into my house. I changed, we sat on the couch and watch spidermans homecoming.

Garretts pov

She fell alseep on my shouldee, i picked her up and brought her to her bedroom. I set her down and i was going to go down stairs, but she grabbed my hand. "Stay with me, please." She said, i laid next to her. She put her head on my chest and fell asleep agian.

I do not know how to tell her how i feel, and i feel horrible for wacthing her get hurt everyday by someone that doesn't even love her. I hate it, but i cant since she works there. I feel asleep later after that.

Next morning

Brookes pov

I woke up and i seen Garrett sleeping next to me. I got out and let Checks out, i sat on the island just thinking. I heard the stairs crack and Garrett came down. "Hey." I said

"Hey." He said and sat next to me

His phone went off, he looked at me. "I have to go get ready for another battle. I'll see you there in about 30 minutes." He said, he gave me a hug and walked to his truck, i let checks in and i got ready for the day. I hopped in my truck and drove to work.

I walked in, i grabbed my cameras and walked over to the boys. It was a long day, i could not focus.

We finished filming the battle, i went back to my office and i uploaded the video footage to my laptop. Someone opened the door, can you guess who it was. Garrett. "Serious, i think your falling for me." I said and he laughed.

"You are, arent you." I said

"Sure."

"Whats up."

"Well theres this barbeque and i was wondering if you want to go with me."  

"Date."

"Sure." He said

"Sure." I said

"Editing the video." He asked

"Trying to." I said and he smiled and walked out. I laughed to myself and continued to work.

About 2 hours later Garrett comes back and picks me up and bring me to where all the boys where. I looked at what they where doing, i looked closer and they where talking to Cory.
"Why did you bring me here, i ahve work to do." I said

"I told him to." Cory said, i looked at him

"Why." I said

"Calm down, i just wanted to see how your doing."

"Ok, the only perosn i loved, just got married and never told me about it. You havent told me anything since i got back, I've ethier heard it from one of your siblings or one of the boys, not you. Nothing from you, so the answer to your question, no im not awesome but I'm doing fine." I said and walked back to my office.

Garretts pov

"Calm down, i just wanted to see how your doing." Cory said

"Ok, the only perosn i loved, just got married and never told me about it. You havent told me anything since i got back, I've ethier heard it from one of your siblings or one of the boys, not you. Nothing from you, so the answer to your question, no im not awesome but I'm doing fine." Brooke said and walked off

"Your not helping, by asking her the same questions over and over." I said

"Have fun Cory. " Tyler said and hung up

"Whats up with you and your wife." Tyler asked

"We got a divorce a couple of weeks ago."

"Why didn't you tell us."

"You all have wives, okay. I felt left out, okay."

"Your bringing Brooke to the barbeque aren't you." Coby asked

"Was."

"Why not now." Coby asked

"You think shes leaving now."

"I've known her for so long and i promise you, if you ask her she'll say yes. Even if she loves him she doesn't anymore. Shes yelled at him more times thwn she yelled at her dad when he was alive."

"Yeah, I've been meaning to ask. What happened to her parents."Cody asked

"They got in a car crash when she was
15 and she moved in with my family and we became like siblings."

"Go ask her if she's coming." Tyler asked me, i walked to her office and she was editing the video,  or at least trying too.

"Do you still want to come with me." I asked and she looked at me.

"Yeah, he doesn't control my life anymore."She said

"Then lets go." I said and i put my hand out and she grabbed it.

ONTO THE NEXT CHAPTER, I DIDNT WANT THIS CHAPTER TO BE THAT LONG.
