During dinner my mom and Violet were talking while I ate quietly listening to their conversation. "How old are you Violet?" My mom asked her.

 "I just turned 18 a month ago." I heard Violet say.

Then I decided to ask her a question."When's your birthday?" 

"It's on May 7th." She said smiling at me. 

"So that means Justin's two years older than you." My mom said to Violet and I and we nodded in unison.

"What are you both going to do tomorrow?" My mom asked.

"I was thinking of going to dad's house and introducing Violet to him, Jaxon and Jazmin." I said to her, and she nodded. Once I was done with dinner I waited for Violet to finish hers.

"This lasagna delicious, Pattie." Violet complimented my moms cooking. 

"Thank you, Violet." My mom said and then asked, "Do you think of going to college?"

 I never thought of that, I've been so caught up in her being my mate that I haven't asked what she wanted to do for herself.

  "Um... Honestly, I do." Violet said, hesitantly. 

"What do you want to be?" I asked her. Instead of it being my mom asking her that. Violet opened her mouth and then closed it, "C'mon Violet trust me please." I thought, while looking at her with pleading eyes. 

"I want to be a journalist." Violet said quietly looking at me as I was biting my lip.

  "Oh... That's nice." My mom said kindly. 

"Ugh... Excuse me, I'm done and I'm a bit tried from the trip." Violet said nervously, and my mom nodded at her and Violet got up and walked away.

  It was now my mom and I sitting the table, 

"How have you been mom?" I asked her. 

"I've been good, what about you Justin?" My mom asked me with a comforting smile.

"I've been good." I smiled softly at her.

  "Justin, I may not have been your fathers mate, and you may not be a full werewolf, since I'm human. But everything's going to be fine, even though you're different." She said unexpectedly.

"I know mom, but it's weird to be half human and half werewolf, I don't have a werewolf form, I do have a mate and inner wolf. And I sometimes can't help but wonder what if I wasn't half." I said being completely honest to my mom. 

I looked at my mom and saw her face as she gulped. "Honey, you're special no matter what."

"But mom, what if I wasn't half human and half werewolf, would it mean that I wouldn't have done, what I did in January or would I have done something worse." Before I could continue my mom spoke. 

"Justin, you're only a person who's gone through a lot and everyone does something they regret once or more than that in their life." She said trying to make me feel better but I was still upset.
