The Unexplainable

Chapter 13

I as I was running to the base I felt time stop. Well at least it felt like it did. For a moment everyone looked at me. Then Thomas grinned and ran toward the base with everyone following him. Matt lit his hands Lily had water all around her and Ivy flew to the base. While I was stunned about what had just happened. I just stood there. Like a coward. After I snapped out of my cowardly self I followed the rest of my new friends and hoped for the best.

When I arrived at base I, Matt was shooting fire balls towards the Letheo while Ivy was trying to stab the letheo in its eye with her lavender sword. She was floating above the white wrinkly Letheo which now had a bleeding eye from Ivy's sword. Thomas trying to make earthquakes around the four legged beast as it's wormlike head was shielding itself from another stab. While the Letheo was running I saw a look on its face. At first I thought it was my imagination but as I saw how all of them were hurting the poor creature I yelled "STOP! Don't hurt it!" To my surprise they stopped for 3 seconds then went back to trying to hurt the creature again.
" SORRY LOVE," screamed Thomas as loud as he could. " WE DONT HAVE A CHOICE! THIS THING COULD KILL YOU!"

I was so angry I burst to flames. Then I was completely wet and then I felt a gust of wind take away all the water from my skin. With my instincts on fire I jumped and pounded the floor mimicking Thomas. They all shook and some tents and people fell, even the Letheo fell. I ran to the Letheo looking at the wound. He snared and hissed.
"You're okay buddy."
"Hisssss"
" Sophie you don't know what you're doing." Said Matt with a stern yet quite voice. " Back away.Now.' That's an order." He said a bit stronger this time.
As I approached the Letheo he kept hissing at me and I also heard other people speak. But it was all a blur. I heard their fear. But I could feel his fear. This creature is an intelligent creature. I could see the pain.

The next thing I knew the Letheo grabbed me tossed me over his surprisingly smooth shoulder and took me somewhere unexplainable.
