Tom's POV
I pulled up at the ice rink, and walked Jen inside. I think she was nervous, as she stayed quietly beside me. I made my way up to the reception desk, where I was greeted by a cheerful young girl.
“Hello, I'm Tom Hiddleston. I'm booked in for six.” I smiled as her face light up.
“Oh, oh. Can I get your autograph?” She squeaked. Another fan.
“Of course,” I smiled as she pushed a note pad in my direction. “And who have I to make it out too?”
“Marian,” She answered trying to keep her voice steady and relaxed. I wrote on the page; Marian, you have a lovely name. It was great meeting you. Keep smiling. Tom Hiddleston.
I slip the pad back to her and she thanked me before she carried on with her job. She gave us directions as to where we should go.
“Thank you, Marian, it was nice meeting you.”
“Heh, you too. You too miss,” she said in the direction of Jen, who simply smiled. “You're very lucky.” Jen looked at me curious, as we followed the directions we were given.
“What are you up too?” Jen asked narrowing her eyes at me. I replied quite simply with a mischievous grin.
“You'll see.”
We reached the changing room with looked about as pleasant as changing rooms can get. I pulled out two pairs of custom skates and hands one pair to Jen, who began kicking her shoes off. We got her skates on and I helped Jen to her feet. She wobbled slightly but regained her balance quickly. Now my plans were coming together quite nicely. I led her out onto the ice and laughed when she gasped. I figured it was due to the lack of people. Or maybe it was because of the spot light on the centre of the rink.
“Where is everyone?” She whispered. Even her whispers echoed across the ice.
“Not here,” I chuckled. “I rented the place out. Are you ready to take to the skies little bird?” I teased and she punched my stomach playfully. We slid onto the ice with ease. Jen kept her balance at first but with in a matter of moments she was wobbling and flailing her free arm around trying to stay upright. She looked as innocent as a little bird trying to find it's feet. I helped her stay on her feet and skated around the rink with her slowly a few times to allow her to get used to it. It wasn't long before she could skate about freely without my guidance. She whizzed off around the rink and I playfully sped off after her. I caught her with great ease and took her hands in mine. We made our way to the centre of the rink and stood for a moment beneath the spotlight. I looked down at her, love burning in every part of my body.
“I love you, my dear, more than I can even begin to express.” I admitted to her, the truth hung on my every word.
“I love you too, Tom, more than anything.” I smiled, and dropped to one knee on the ice. I stared up at her, shock clear on her face. Her eyes began to well up as I pulled a small velvet box from my pocket. I opened the box to reveal to her a gold diamond ring.
“I really do love you and I want to spend everyday for the rest of my life with you. Would you make me the happiest man, and say yes to becoming my wife?”
Jen's POV
I could not believe what was happening. I mean, I knew he was up to something when the receptionist told me that I was lucky but I was not expecting this. I knew my answer. I was sure about it in both my head and heart. I loved this man and I simply could not imagine living a day with out him. He made me feel high on love. He made me happy, the happiest I had in a long time. I knew, that I would spend the rest of my years by his side as his wife. I took a deep breath trying to fight back the tears of pure joy.
“Of course I will marry you. Yes! It would be an honour to be your wife.” And with that the tears spilt over my eyes and ran down my cheek. Tom leapt to his feet, pressing his lips to mine. They were warm and I felt his him smile against my lips. He wrapped his arms around me, not once breaking the kiss. The love and security washed over me as he took me into a warm embrace. I knew then at the moment I was a lucky girl.
