--10ks pov--

I watched Fred and Y/N walk out the front door and sit on the ground, waiting for Hermine and I.

"Lets get your stuff." I said, walking into the bedroom with her dead brother and the old man.

Hermine grabbed her stuff as well as her brothers.

" You Okay?" I asked her.

She just nodded, looking at her brothers corpse.

"Come on. Fred and Y/N Are waiting." I walked out the bedroom and Hermine followed soon after.

We walked out the front door and into the fresh air.

"Where do we go now Fred?" Y/N asked Fred.

Fred started to walk back towards the road we were on the other day. We walked passed abandoned cars, motorcycles and trucks. Looking all over to see if there were any zs around or some type of life. We walked until the sun was in the middle of the sky.

"Y/N. We need to stop and rest." I called from the back of the group.

" We need to keep moving 10K. If we stop we risk the chance of zs coming to us." She replied right behind Fred.

"Hermine is having a hard time keeping up. She's tierd and dehydrated."

"...fine. we stop for 2 minutes. But after we have to keep moving." Y/N set her stuff down on the hood of a red car and leaned against it.

Hermine flopped down on the ground, panting and trying to catch her breath. I took out a water bottle from my bag and gave it to her.

"Drink it."

She gladly took it and chugged it all.

"Thank you."

--you pov--

I watched as 10k and Hermine interact with each other, him asking all sorts of things about the girls life pre z.

"What's going to happen to them once we reach my father?" I asked myself silently.

//time mooove// fred said with an urgency in his voice that I haven't heard before.

"What is it fred?" I asked him trying to keep my voice low so I don't make 10K or Hermine worried.

//dont know. Bad feeling//

"Okay! Let's get moving!" I called to 10K and Hermine to pack their things and to get up and get moving.

I started walking in the direction we were going previously when I spotted a deer walking across the street.

"10K, hermine, come here!" I called to them in amazement.

"Wow! A deer! I haven't seen one in a long time!" Hermine said in amazement.

"It really is an amazing creature." I hear 10K gasp in awe.

Soon two fawns came walking unsteadily out of the forest after their mother.

"Must have been born not long ago. It's amazing what happens in nature." I smiled to myself, admiring the beauty of the two small fawns.

//time go// fred whispered to me.

I nodded and started to call for 10K and Hermine when fred put his hand over my mouth.

//just us//  he said, holding a finger to his decaying lips.

I nodded and grabbed my stuff, watching hermine and 10K watch the deer and her offspring, to busy to notice fred or I disappear into the forest behind us.

"Why are we leaving them behind?" I whispered to Fred as he lead me to my father.

//slow us dowwwn. No need//

"I understand. But what if something happens to them? I may be heartless at times, but I dont want them to die or turn into zs. " I ranted.

//they fine. Come. Now.//

I sighed and continued to follow fred. We walked in silence until we came across what looked to be a gang of people.

"Shit. What now?" I asked annoyed.

Fred only grunted and walked around them. Soon we came to a big city. We walked around the perimeter of it and came to a giant school, fences around it and inside the fences zs walked.

//here!! She here!//  all the zs yelled in unison.

"Great way to make an entrance my dear!" I heard the familiar voice of Murphy call.

"Just following your example!" I yelled back at him.

"Ha! Come join me!" He gestured to enter the school filled with humans

I slowly walked and made my way to the front doors. Everyone was staring at me, even the zs who were captured and trying to claw at the humans stopped and looked.

I walked all the way up to my father.

"My baby girl! How have you been?" Murphy came up to me and pulled me into a hug.

I didn't hug back.

"Just peachy." I said, pushing him off of me.

"Now why are you acting so cold to the man who made you?" He said in a fake hurt tone.

"What do you want Murphy? Why have you been sending zs after me?" I ignored what he said.

"Alright. If you dont want to act like you're happy to see me, I wont act like I'm happy to see you either." He turned around and walked into another room.

"What do you want Murphy?" I demanded

"I heard that there was another person like me. I had to be sure it was true." Murphy turn around to face me again.

"Well, I'm certainly not blue." I laughed in amusement. "But I can talk to zs and I have a z eye." I said, moving my hair out of my eye so he could see it.

"Interesting. Now. Do you know why you received the shot?" Murphy asked suddenly, taking me off guard.

"Wasnt it to cure my cancer?" I asked cautiously.

"Well, that. But because I asked them to. Do you know why?"

"Stop playing these god damned games Murphy!" I yelled, slamming my fist into a nearby desk and smashing it to pieces.

"Okay okay. I told them to because the jail I was in was one of the first placed to be infected. Your mom told me a few days before what juvie you were in. So when I woke up and realized what the drug did, I called the juvie you were at and made them give it to you. I didn't want you to end up like the rest of them." He nodded his head to fred.

"Why? Do you know the kind of life you've put me through? The things I've done to survive? At this point I would rather be a z than whatever this is!" I gestured to my body. "I couldn't tell people the truth in fear that they would kill me! I couldn't talk to people in fear that they might find out what I am! I've been alone up until a little while ago when this stupid z virus started!" I yelled.

"I know that this may seem very upsetting. But it has its ups." Murphy tried to calm me down.

"And what are the ups? Huh? Being able to have better vision? Better hearing? Better reflexes and stuff? I dont want any of that. I want go be normal. I want to have kids and Have a life." I pleaded.

"When this virus broke out, things would never be normal again." He said in a matter of fact voice.

I could feel my blood start to boil.

"What did you think was going to happen when I finally came here? A big, happy reunion? Hugs and 'I missed you dad'? No! You abandoned us, you will never be mu father or my dad. You're just a stranger with similar freaky issues."
