"I have no interest in keeping you here. Leave." I said. Putting my weapons away. 10K did the same.

"Please. The sun it starting to set. My children are sick and hungry. We won't last another night." The woman said.

"All the more reason for you not to stay here. Your children could die and turn into z's. I don't feel like turning into a z tonight. Or anytime soon for that matter." I slammed the door shut.

" Please! We'll give you anything you want." An old man's voice cane from the other side of the closed door.

I opened it again. Taking a look at the colorful sunset.

"Anything?" I asked.

The adults nodded.

"Give me your weapons. All of them." I held me hand out, patiently waiting.

" But then we'll have no way to protect ourselves!" The woman cried.

" Have a good night out there then. God bless." I said sarcastically and shut the door once more.

"Fine! You can have them." A voice i hadn't heard from said in defeat.

I opened the door one last time, looking at a man in what seemed to be his late 30s early 40s. They all removed knives and guns and handed them to 10K and I.

" Just to warn you. We have a resident in the living room watching tv." I said, placing the weapons in my bag. "Oh. And I  wouldn't open anything. Don't know what's on the other side." I said to a little girl, around 10 years old, about to open the old fridge.

She removed her hand from the handle and walked to her mother, also in her late 30s early 40s.

"Im Jane, by the way." She said. "This is my husband, Tom. My father, George, and my children. Ron and Hermine." She pointed at each in turn.

"Im Y/N. And this is 10K." I introduced the both of us. "So what's wrong with your kids?"

"They got hurt somehow. Won't say how though." The old man, George, said.

"Somehow? Now I'm starting to regret letting you in." I crossed my arms.

We stood there, everyone staring at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.

"So. Jane. What did you do pre-z?" I asked, walking around her family to sit next to the skeleton on the couch.

"I was a mechanic. My husband was an accountant." She replied, looking everywhere but at me. "And yourself?"

"Juvie. Wasn't one for rules." I leaned forward, looking right at her with my one eye.

She looked at me with terror, now reconsidering staying the night in the house.

"I don't bite though." I laughed, sitting back on the couch. "At least, not very hard. Isn't that right 10K?" I tried to wink at him. "For the record, I just winked."

"U-um. Yeah." 10K started to turn slightly pink at my remark.

"Anyways. It's almost night time. We should set up sleeping plans." I stood up, walking to the bedroom with the porn magazines.

" My father in law has a very bad back, would it be okay if he took the bed with the kids?" Tom had spoken up.

"Sure sure. As long as you and Jane stay in the room as well. 10K and I like to have out alone time. Isn't that right love?" I went over to 10K and stroked his chin.

"Yeah." He whispered, turning reder than before.

"Okay. Have a good night." Jane and them walked into the bedroom and closed the door behind them.

10K and I waited a few minutes to see if they actually went to bed. I could hear the old magazines hit the floor and the bed springs squeak.

"They're asleep. Let's find Fred." I whispered.

"H-hey, Y/N. What was that all about?" 10K asked as he walked behind me.

"Its just been so long since I've met new new people, and I kinda wanted to make them feel slightly uncomfortable." I laughed a little.

"Okay.. so. Where do you think Fred is?"

"In not sure. I just hope he's not in the bedroom.." I trailed off. "Fred?" I called for him quietly.

//heere// Fred said and emerged from a closet in the bathroom.

"God damn it, you scared me!" I whisper yelled at Fred.

He just shrugged his shoulders and went back into the closet.

"Im gonna move Mr. Skele from the couch so we can lay down on it." I say as I make my way towards the living room again.

I moved the skeleton to a chair at a small table in the kitchen. When I went back to the couch I saw a big black spot where he was.

"Must've been here longer than we though." 10K looked at the spot.

"Looks like it." I nodded and flipped the cushion over to see that it was just as bad.

I sighed and placed the cushion on the floor.

"Sometimes couched have beds in them. Right?" I asked, taking the other three cushions off to see a medal powl at each side.

I grabbed an old fabric handle and pulled. Out came what seemed to be an almost brand new bed.

"Well, would you look at that." 10K saud in amazement.

"A little funky smelling, I have to admit. But, better than sleeping on the ground." I nodded. "I call left side." I jumped on the bed and a big dust cloud came up from the couch.

"Why do you have to jump at everything." 10K said, waving the dust out of his face as he coughed.

"Cause.." I trailed off. "Just cause."

He rolled his eyes and sat down next to me. We sat in silence, watching the bedroom door for any signs of movement. Or at least I did, while 10K started to fall asleep.

Soon I could hear the slight snore coming from him. And after what seemed like forever, sleep had started to take Me as well. Soon my eyes started to feel heavy, I layed my head back and let sleep engulf me.

--morning--

I woke up to a pain in my side.

"10k. You're hurting my side." I groaned and tried to roll over. But only when I didn't, I opened my eyes.

I saw that I was tied to an old wooden chair, with 10K beside me looking terrified. I looked around more to see Jane right in front of me, holding a scalpel.

" What are you doing?" I asked, bored.

"Im going to show you why you don't take things away from people." She said, digging the scalpel into my left hand.
