"I really like you too." I answered quietly. The tenseness setting back in.
he looked over to me. Surprised
"Is it okay if- if I kiss you?" He asked. My heart.
"Please." I practically whispered.
and he delivered. His soft lips were placed on mine and I felt my skin deteriorating and my bones were barely holding me up, I leaned into him and he rested his forehead on mine. He broke away to laugh at himself a bit.Whatever thoughts he was having I cleared them by kissing him again. He leaned over me and laid me down on the couch. He was so unbelievably gentle, like holding a piece of glass, he kissed down my jaw and onto my neck.
"You're so beautiful, Lynn." He whispered into my skin and I shuddered at his voice."How-how long will Ned be-be gone?" I stumbled over my words, he made me such a mess without even trying.
His warm, soft touch made me shiver, he secured his hand around my body. Suddenly he forcefully pulled me towards him, removing the gap between us. He pressed his bare chest into mine, and dug his face into the crook of my neck.
"Long enough." He growled. I held in a whimper.
The warmth of his body on mine was so soothing. I tangled my legs with his. He placed kisses on my neck, jawline and shoulders.
The way he was holding and kissing me, the way his warm body was against mine, I couldn't help but let out a small moan. He smiled onto my skin at my response. He guided his other hand to my thigh and slowly moved it higher. I could feel the knot in my stomach and throat beginning to form, as he awfully slowly moved his hand higher and higher. He then put that hand up the shirt as well and around my back, and on the couch to hold himself above me.
He never once stopped kissing my neck. Leaving marks, that I hoped concealer would hide. He pulled me as close as possible, "You are so beautiful" repeatedly into my ear, between kisses. He kissed down my neck, moving the shirt down.He stopped and froze, I could feel all of his muscles tense.
My heart did the same.
He pulled down the sleeve of my shirt ever slightly, revealing four dark fingerprint bruises.
He immediately backed away from me. He got up off the couch and I followed.Fear all over his face...
I felt my lungs weigh my body down. Oh no.
"Did I- I?" His voice was weak.
I took a step towards him "No! Oh Peter no-"
But he stepped back again. "Don't-" He put his hands up. "Don't come closer." His lip trembled lightly.
He didn't want to hurt me. My throat closedI felt tears brim my eyes.
I grabbed his hands and laced my fingers with his. He didn't do the same, his hands were limp, he even tried to pull them away gently.
"This wasn't you." I spoke softly. His eyes became glossy. I couldn't form words fast enough, I just wanted to feel him hug me.
His mouth fell slack. "Lynn." I grabbed his hand with a bit more force now, he didn't hold mine back.
He was clearly shaken by the marks on my arm. "I'm okay." I mouthed and I lifted my shirt a little and the dark cut on my abdomen were visible. Peter's back hit the wall. "God.." he was breathless.
I felt tears threaten to spill. I pulled my shirt back down. "I promise this wasn't you, and it's done alre-" I spoke in a whisper my voice cracking. I tried to press a smile, but his expression hardened, making mine drop."What happened then?" He asked. I felt my knees weaken. "If it wasn't me, what happened?" His voice was low.
I couldn't look at him. "It's really nothing, you helped me alread-" I stumbled my words and I hit the wall again.
"That's not nothing, Lynn!" "What happened?" He asked. He stepped closer to me. I pressed myself flat against the wall.
"What?" He repeated. And when I didn't answer him, his jaw clenched tightly, his eyes darkened a shade. "Who?" His voice was raspy and low. My breath hitched.
I felt a tang of fear shoot through me.
He placed a hand on the wall beside my head,
trapping me beside the counter top.
"You fixed it already, I'm okay now."
"Those are fingerprints, Lynn." He stated, he raised an eyebrow. He was too heated to let me explain.I couldn't run from this one.
"Please-" I looked up at him.
"Name. Now." He growled.
I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to calm down. To form the words he already knew.
He gently placed his fingers under my chin.
"Please." His voice softened significantly. My eyes fluttered open and I looked into his eyes, and just like I suspected, the answer fell from my lips. He pulled it out of me easily."It was that night in the alley. It was Jordan."
I was unable to move, my limbs felt like lead. They felt attracted to the magnet core of the Earth.
His chest heaved and he almost fell over.
"I'm going to find him." Peter growled.
I gripped him.
"What? Peter no.. it's okay, you saved my life back there and they've probably been caught by now." I made him look me in the eye. "Friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man." I reminded him.He had a dark look in his eyes that scared the living shit out of me.
"I'm not 15 anymore Lynn. He could've killed you, how many were there before you? I didn't think he hurt you that bad. He deserves-"
"Peter." I begged him. I cut him off. I put my hands on the side of his face, gluing his attention to me.
"I told you, I am fine. Because of you, you. You saved me. You fixed this, a couple battle marks won't do me any harm. I tried to tell you that-" I said, and my voice brought him back down.
He put his hands on mine.
His muscles relaxed.
And as soon as they did. He hugged me like he'd never see me again. "I'm sorry." He mumbled into my shirt."You should get some sleep, this has been a fucked up day for the both of us." I told him. Peter would've beat the shit out of that man, and although he deserved that and more, I didn't know what either of them was truly capable of. I was okay, and I needed to see to it that Peter didn't do anything rash
"Stay the night." He whispered.
