Lafayette
Lafayette recovered fairly quickly. His weight hadn't gone up even though he had been forced to eat. That was the only thing stopping him from leaving the infirmary.
"Please?" he begged George.
"Son, I can't let you out until you gain weight", George said firmly.
"So you just want me to be fat, the way I was", Lafayette said quietly.
"You were never fat, son. You were the perfect weight and we always told you. I don't know what you see in the mirror, but I see my beautiful child starving himself. I don't want to see that, I want to see you healthy again. Hell, Hercules definitely wants to see you healthy. He can't stop blushing when he sees you as it is, imagine what a mess he'd be if you looked after yourself", George ranted, grinning at the last part.
"Preach it, Washingdad", Peggy agreed from her spot in the corner by the window."Speaking of which, where is Hercules?" Lafayette asked.
"He left a half hour ago and you already want to see him again. Ship!" Peggy called.
"Shut up, Peggy", Lafayette grumbled, although a small smile brightened his features.
"I'll go get the young Mulligan in here as soon as I find him", George said, getting up. He looked back at Lafayette. "You can do this, son. Just get well. We all want to see you recover." He left.Lafayette settled back into the pillows, eyes closing. He was rudely awoken a second later by somebody bouncing onto the edge of his mattress.
"Hey, Laffy", Peggy chirped.
"Hello, Margarita", Lafayette smirked.
Peggy scowled. "Don't call me that."
"Don't call me Laffy."
"Why, is only your boyfriend allowed to call you that?"
"Yes", he replied bluntly.Hercules stormed into the room. "Laf", he breathed, striding quickly over to Lafayette's bedside and worriedly taking his hand. "George said to get here quickly. Did something happen?"
"Non, mon amour", Lafayette giggled. "I was just bored of Peggy."
"Hey!" the girl in question whined.
Hercules rolled his eyes and smirked. "Fair enough."
"Hey! I'm right here!" Peggy scowled.
"Yeah, what's your point?"
"Rude", Peggy said, standing up. "I'm gonna leave you lovebirds alone. Bye now!" She bounced out of the room.Hercules took her place at the edge of the bed. "So when are you getting out of here?" he asked, stroking Lafayette's knuckles with his thumb.
Lafayette rolled his eyes. "Not until I gain weight", he said sadly.
Hercules' eyes brightened. "Hey, that's a good thing!" He noticed Lafayette's dismal expression and frowned. "It isn't a bad thing, is it?"
Lafayette sighed. "Gaining weight is always a bad thing, is it not? I'm already overweight enough as it is...""Okay, no. Stand up", Hercules demanded.
Lafayette did as he was asked.
Hercules led him in front of a mirror and took Lafayette's shirt off.
Lafayette went bright red. He stared at his reflection in the mirror. His ribs protruded sharply against sickly yellow skin. His stomach had basically caved in on itself. He ran a hand over his ribs and felt a tear roll down his cheek which was immediately wiped away by Hercules' gentle hand.More tears rolled down his face and his quiet sobs were instantly muffled by Hercules' chest.
"Do you see now why we want you to eat?" Hercules murmured into his hair.
Lafayette nodded silently.
"I'm worried there's not going to be any of you left. Then who am I supposed to be in love with?" Hercules continued.
Lafayette froze and looked up at Hercules. "Did you just say-"
"I love you", Hercules whispered, leaning down and gently kissing Lafayette.
"I love you too", Lafayette murmured against his lips.Hercules smiled and they briefly drew apart for air but were drawn back into each other less than a moment later.
This kiss was deeper than the last. Lafayette tangled his hands in Hercules' hair, Hercules' hands clutching at his waist and pulling the Frenchman closer.
Naturally, it turned into a make out session, Hercules' hands roaming over Lafayette's bare chest, Lafayette himself tugging at Hercules' hair and moaning quietly into his mouth."Well ain't this lovely", a voice drawled.
The two lovers leaped apart and looked toward the doorway.
None other than a smirking Thomas Jefferson was standing there, leaning against the doorway with his arms crossed.
"I came to check on Lafayette", Thomas continued. "But I seem to have interrupted something. Has the ship sailed?"
Lafayette nodded, flustered.Thomas clapped excitedly. "This is great!"
"What about you and Madison?" Hercules smirked.
Thomas went red. "Well uh- You see- It kind of..."
"Yes", Alex said, appearing from seemingly nowhere. "I caught him and innocent little Jemmy in a slightly more intense version of you guys' make out session."
"Don't call him that", Thomas hissed. "Only I can call him that."Alex blinked. "Is he actually hissing at me? Calm down, Medusa. James' great, but I'm not interested."
"Yeah, you're after John, right?" Thomas smirked.
Alex flushed red and left, muttering something about stupid fluffy-headed weirdos.
"Hey!" Lafayette called after him. "I'm a stupid fluffy-headed weirdo!"
"You don't count, Laf, you're too pure", Thomas muttered. "Anyways, I'll leave you to it", he said, waving a hand as he departed.
Lafayette looked up at Hercules, who smirked and whispered, "Now, where were we?"A/N: Ooh, Hercules, you smooth-ass bastard. Anyways, THE SHIPS ARE A-SAILING.
