Unexpected Love

Chapter 12

- Harry's POV -

Niall and I walked down the hallway together. We had a meeting with management to talk about what was going to be happening tomorrow. Niall and I were both nervous because we had no idea what they were going to say. I had remembered Maria saying that they wanted us to lay low, but did that mean no publicity stunts? I doubt they would just let us be, but I could only hope that we would be able to live normal lives for just a little while.

We walked into the large building and rode up in the elevator to our floor. Niall and I exchanged glances before knocking on the door marked "One Direction Management." I took a deep breath and Maria swung open the door. We stepped inside and she motioned for us to sit on the couch. The other boys weren't coming to the meeting because they wouldn't be flying down to LA for a few weeks.

"So, you boys fly out with your little girlfriends tomorrow," I tensed at the way she talked about Aly and Vanessa with such disgust.

"There will be a limo to pick up all four of you at the girls apartment tomorrow at 10am. Be outside on time we are on a schedule here. You will fly on your private jet, obviously, and will land in LA around 11am, LA time. There will be a driver who will take you to your new house and your butlers will show you around," I held in a shocked look when she said butlers. I knew that there would be a butler I just didn't think there would be multiple butlers.

"Are we going to have to do publicity stunts?" Niall asked getting straight to my the point.

"We're not sure yet," Maria said, "we're going to have to wait and see how the media reacts to you all taking a break."

I hoped that there would be no publicity stunts. I didn't want Aly to be thrown into the middle of them and I know Niall wanted Vanessa no where near the paps.

"So basically if the media explodes about us taking a break we won't have to do any stunts," I clarify.

"Well, no major stunts, little ones like going to the beach or talking a walk with Aly," Maria tells me.

I think I can handle little stunts, but as soon as things get out of control, I'm going to hurt someone. 

"Now that we got that covered, I have much more important things to get to so excuse you," Maria says shooing us out of the room.

- Alyssa's POV - 

Tomorrow is the day. The day I finally get to have a new start in life with the people I love most.  I feel a rush of comfort just thinking about Harry and I being able to live together. I think about trying to pack my bedding into a already packed box, but decide against it.  I'm moving to a mansion in LA I'm sure the bed will already have blankets.

I look at the clock and realize that its already 5:06pm.  I get up and brush my hands off. 

"Vanessa!" I yell down the hall.

"Yep. In here," I hear her say from the living room.

"What do you say, Chinese take-out and a movie to celebrate our last night here?" I offer.

Vanessa's face lights up, "yes let's do it!" 

I order the Chinese food while Vanessa takes a shower.  I flip through Vanessa's movie collection and one movie catches my eye.  It's Vanessa's favorite movie, but one I had always avoided watching, One Direction: This Is Us.  I take it out and decide maybe it wouldn't be so bad to watch a movie about my boyfriend.  I roll my eyes thinking about how silly I sound.

Vanessa comes down the hallways dressed in her pajamas, shaking her hair with a towel to dry it off. 

"When's the food going to be here? I'm starving!" she says plopping down on the floor next to me.  

"10 minutes I think.  Wanna watch this?" I said holding up the One Direction movie.

"I just watched that yesterday," she said giggling, "how about we watch Endless Love?" she suggests instead.

I happily agree with her because that is one of my favorite movies.  I put the disk in and go to the kitchen to grab myself a glass of water.  Vanessa digs through one of the packing boxes to find some blankets for us to cuddle up in while we watch the movie.

I hear a knock at the door and I walk over grabbing $20 off the counter to pay the delivery guy.  But when I open the door it's not the delivery guy, it's Ms. Hart.

"Good evening Darling!" she sings walking past me into the apartment.

"I just came to drop of a few things for you girls before you leave tomorrow," she says.

She sets a bag on the kitchen counter and starts pulling things out of it.

"Okay, so, I brought you each a credit card they have $2000 each on them, don't even think about not accepting them I have been saving this money for you girls for when you finally left New York.  I'll refill the cards every so often," she's interrupted by Vanessa walking into the room.

"Oh, hi mom!" Vanessa says, "Oo presents!" her eyes grow big.

Ms. Hart continues, "So those are the credit cards. Next, a box of condoms and some birth control, just because I know what you kids are up to these days,"  I do my best to hide a laugh and I can tell Vanessa's cheeks are probably as red as a tomato right now, "Next, a list of emergency numbers that you can reach me at in case you have any troubles.  Next, two passes I have made especially for you girls.  You can go to any Hart Clothing store and just have them swipe this card and it will let you have the clothes for free, just don't use it to often.  That's it girls.  I'm going to miss you both so much," she said pulling both of us into a hug.  We sat there for a moment being squeezed by Vanessa's mom.

"I have to go though it's already 6:00 and I have a party that I have to be at by 7:30, so goodbye my dears.  Text me as soon as you are in your new house.  Love you!" and with that she swiftly strode out the door closing it behind her.

We watched the credits roll for the movie and I slowly got up off the couch grabbing the empty boxes of takeout trying not to disturb the now sleeping Vanessa.  I threw the boxes in the trash and checked my phone.  I had one new text from Harry.  I opened it and read,

Can't wait until tomorrow! Remember that we'll be there at 9 to pick you up.  Goodnight Aly I love you!

I smiled and clicked off my phone.  I decided it would be pointless to move all my blankets back into my room so I curled up on the couch next to Vanessa, and fell asleep.
