Jasmine couldn't believe what Beck had said to her. "What the hell do you mean a vampire?! You're joking right?"
"I swear girl, that's what I heard." Said Beck, with a smirk. "I'm just kidding, he just really like ya a lot. That's all."
"You really think? Because I really love him Beck, I do." Jasmine said through tears.
"Don't cry honey, it'll all work out.""What do you mean the deal is off, Ray?" Oliver said.
"She said something about you being compromised. I'm not exactly sure how yet, but I'll figure it out and let you know." Ray said.
"Ray, I know we've only worked together for two years but you're a good guy." Oliver paused, the lingering silence was too much and he had to say something. Why not be honest? "You don't need to be in this business. Why don't you just go home and have a nice sinner with your wife. Kiss you kids goodnight. Tell them you love them."
"I can't just leave you hanging like this bro, we're in this together. We both signed on." Ray pleaded.
Oliver looked at him with sad eyes. You could clearly tell from the dark circles and pale skin that he hadn't slept in days. "If I need you, I know how to reach you."
"Okay, be safe."
He was gone just like that. Oliver was alone again. Alone with his thoughts.
How does she know I've been compromised?? She has no idea I fell so hard in love with Jasmine. I haven't said a word. I haven't gave an inkling that might make her suspect that i'd been compromised.
Oliver pleaded with himself. He argued himself up and down until he came to a conclusion. The only thing that made sense. How else would she have found out he'd been compromised.
Unless she's in love with me too..Jasmine wiped down the rest of the tables in the dinning hall and vacuumed the hallway before clocking out and yelling goodbye to Beck. "I'll see you Sunday, I'm off the rest of the weekend." She said as she walked briefly to the door.
"Alright honey. I'll see you then. You be safe out there." Beck returned.
Jasmine slid into the drivers seat of her Chrysler. The leather always made a farting noise which of course always made her laugh. She buckled up, And let her long locks of red down as she started the car. Then she drove. She drove until she reached Oliver's house, only to find he had gone out. "Hm, I thought he was going to be home tonight?" She spoke softly. "Guess I'll call real quick before I go." She pulled her phone out of her bag and dialed the number ring ring ring.... it rang until she got to the voicemail. "Babe it's me Jaz, I was hoping to see you tonight. Maybe I mixed up the days, I dunno. See ya. I'll be home if you need anything." She hung up the phone and drove until she arrived home.
His mind wandered.
She can't know how I feel. If she does, they'll find her. When they find her they'll kill her.
