She wears a crown of daisies,

He wears a cape of thorns,

She's beauty and she's grace,

While he's the silence in the storm.

She's a cloud up in the sky,

He's an anchor in the sea,

She's drifting through the winds

While he's sinking in his pleas.

One day they clash like thunder,
The ground shakes with a roar,
They meet somewhere in the middle,
And end up awash onshore.
They're different as night and day,
Heavy hopes and fleeting despair,

She drinks him in like water,

While he gasps her up like air.
