INK'S P.O.V.

Ink lay in his bed listening to the growing sound of thunder. He liked rain but had never enjoyed storms. A knock on his door brought him out of his thoughts and into a state of tired curiosity. He slowly got up and made his way to the door.

Ink opened it to find a scared looking Error in his normal outfit minus the hoodie and slippers.

"U-um.... Ink c-could I..........? n-nevermind" Error huffed and quickly walked back downstairs.

That was strange. Ink thought. It took a couple of seconds for him to remember why Error was in his house. He remembered the last fight with Error, then a bit of talking, and then the laughing. He remembered that he had invited Error to live at his house, because Ink had just wanted to protect the universes he created. That's what he had said, but he knew the real reason he had done it was to stay with Error. To help him be a better person... right? Ink thought. He had been trying to convince himself that he didn't just want Error around to hear the sound of his voice, or to revel in his amazing features, or even to feel the dominant presence that was Error.

Ink carefully climbed down the stairs and into the living room of his house. He stopped when he heard another boom of thunder.

Then he felt the fear in the room. And it scared him.

ERROR'S P.O.V.

After hearing the thunder, Error had immediately ducked under the safety of his blankets. Error had been terified of storms for as long as he could remember. He had gone up to Ink's room earlier to ask if Ink could help him. But of course Error was too afraid of what Ink would think about him. Things like this always stopped him from getting help from someone. It hurt. It was scary, being alone. But he had to. He was Error. Impressive, strong, powerful Error. But he sure wasn't brave.

Another clap of thunder resonated around the house and Error let out a terified yelp, curling even farther into the blankets.

He felt the opposite side of the couch he was on sink slightly. "Um... Error? Are you okay?" The words were soft and comforting, as if spoken by someone who didn't quite know how to respond to the situation.

Error jolted upright, his actions seemingly linked to the next boom of thunder. He turned to Ink and tried not to sound like a nervous wreck. "I'm f-fine I-Ink. W-w-why wouldn't I b-be?"

"Error you look like your about to have a heart attack. Tell me what's wrong. Now." Error shrunk back at how firm his words were. Ink seemed to realize his mistake, because he sounded much calmer when he continued. His words were calm and soothing again, but laced in worry. "Error please tell me what's wrong. I want to help. I won't judge you. I just need to know how t-"

"Alright, alright already! Calm down I'll tell you what's wrong." Error breathed in deeply before starting again. This time more shakily. "I... I'm afraid of storms."

Silence fell over the two and Error grabbed the blankets and wrapped himself up again, afraid of Ink's reaction. He felt so weak and pathetic. He was Error! Not some short little scaredy cat like Ink. As he thought this, it occurred to him. Who really is the scaredy cat? Ink? Or me?

     He waited.

     And waited.

But he did not expect what came next.

INK'S P.O.V.

     "I... I'm afraid of storms."

Ink said nothing for a couple of seconds, finally realizing that Error was more 'fragile' than he originally thought. Error might be taller, but he could obviously still feel small. He smiled warmly and looked over at Error.
