Chapter Four-Surprise

"What the hell?! Noll you said nothing happened between you two!!!" I stare at Lin with wide eyes. He looked furious. My gaze darts back to Naru and then to my angels who had begun to cry. How did this happen?

~Flashback~

I sigh as I turn to look at my babies next to me. I had taken over the SPR office and we were doing great. In fact the others were all out on cases at the moment. They wouldn't let me join them so I was stuck doing paper work. I didn't mind though, I got to spend quality time with my angels.

Grrrr....

I flinch as my stomach rumbled and then glance at May and Kaze. Kaze reminded me of Naru. He had his dark locks and quiet air but he did get my brown eyes! May on the other hand is a mini me. She got my brown hair and loud voice while receiving Naru's stormy blue eyes.

I sigh before standing up and making my way to the kitchen. I was hungry and couldn't wait to eat. Glancing one last time at the sleeping infants I quietly make my way to the kitchen, humming a tune inside my head. When I get there, I set a pot of boiling water on the stove and wait. When it's ready I grab a cup and pour the water into it before going up on my toes and reaching for the tin of tea leaves I had sitting there, now humming Monochrome No Kiss out loud.

"Mai." I freeze, my limbs locked as my brain whirls around trying to make sense of the voice.

'No...it can't be...him?'

I turn around, my eyes widening as his name escapes my lips.

"Naru..." I didn't think it was possible but he got even sexier! His black hair was now hanging in his eyes and he had gotten an inch taller. He wore black dress pants and a white button up shirt that honestly had me drooling on the inside. I was snapped out of my trance however when he put a smug smirk on his face and took a step closer to me.

"Hello Ma-" I didn't think about it, my hand just snapped across his cheek with out my consent. His head snapped to the side and I see nothing but red when his eyes widen in surprise.

"How dare you!" I exclaim as he turns back to look at me, his hand going to cup his injured body part. His eyes lock on mine and I can see a traces of confusion laced with anger there.

"What the hell was that for?" His voice is calm, collected and if I keep looking at him I might do something I regret. I spin around and clutch the counter, my heart racing as I do everything I can to restrain myself from jumping him or slapping him silly.

"Do you not remember? The night you left?" My voice grew whisper soft as I try to figure out how I'm going to tell him he's a father now.

~End of Flashback~

Oh yeah.

"Wah!"

"WAH!!!" The sounds of two different cries ring out and I groan before shooting a glare at Lin, grabbing Naru and dragging him with me to the crib. I pick up May and hold her out to him, hoping that this day doesn't get any worse.

"Mai..." He whispers as his eyes lock on my baby girl. His hands slowly make their way towards her and the next thing I know, Naru's cradling her in his arms and bouncing slightly. I smile at his OOC-ness before turning and picking Kaze up.

"Hey...it's okay...mommy's here baby...shhh..." I coo sweet words to him, watching with satisfaction as he curls into my chest, his head on my shoulder. I smile and continue rocking him, glancing up at Naru. He had her in the crock of his elbow, rocking side to side as she slept in his arms.
