Ayame Pov:

I adjusted Beel in my arms as I listened to my brother rant about En, Beel's apparent little brother. As I listened, I felt myself drift into my own thoughts about the explanation I'd just heard.

Apparently, Japan was onto something with the countless Gods, demons, ghosts, and other creatures better left unmentioned. Even as I looked down at Beel, I couldn't see him as a demon, let alone a demon sent to basically enslave the world. He just seemed like an innocent baby who refused to wear any semblance of clothes.

I watched him lean back in my arms comfortably and I briefly wondered if I should just hightail it back to America before the challenge got started.

"I'm gonna kill him."

My head snapped up and I refocused on my brother who had apparently ended his rant with an explosion of anger. Beel clapped in my arms and I deadpanned. Perhaps that was the only way Beel was a demon, he loved when my brother got fired up.

"Not this time Brat." Tatsumi growled. "I ain't that pissed."

Beel visibly deflated but still seemed excited none the less, even more so when my brother picked up. "We need to talk." He said, carrying the child out of the room.

Third Person Pov:

As the Oga family began to come to terms with the unfolding drama, down in hell, it had already begun.

The demon prince En, was announcing to everybody who was anybody that he was about to marry someone. Of course, everyone got excited, hoping that there'd be a demon challenge beforehand so that their matrimony could be an honored one.

"So what does she look like?" One demon asked.

"Like an in-game character!" He grinned happily before moving on from the confused noble.

Even though human video games were popular with the younger more "teen" age demons, the older ones (especially nobles) couldn't see the appeal and most terms were lost on them. But as the noble glanced across the street, right into the window of a game shop he deadpanned at the animated girl on the poster in the window.

She had small breasts, wide hips, a flat stomach, long hair, and eyes bigger than human dinner plates. The noble cringed, hoping his prince wasn't going to marry someone as hideous looking as that girl. But he kept his opinions to himself and made the choice to not dwell on it. He simply wished his prince the best and went on about his day.

But he wasn't the only one to think such things. Some of the older demons gave En such a look that he swore they were going to age twice as fast with a frown that set. And after the seventh look like that, he realized that he'd gotten bored with spreading the news. So he opted to go to the human realm to see his soon-to-be fiance.

And after hunting down someone who could transfer him there, he found himself in front of the girl.

"Hello, my love!" He happily greeted.

"Um... Hi... En, wasn't it?"

"Normally I'd punish you for not adding the proper title or honorific to my name, but since we'll be married soon, I'm willing to let you slide!"

In his happy slash arrogant state, he didn't see Ayame's eyebrow twitch as she looked him up and down. "I'm not marrying a child." She stated bluntly.

"I'm not a child!" En snapped. "I'm over two thousand years old!"

"I'm not marrying a grandpa either."

"I don't have any kids let alone grandkids!"

"Well you look like a child and you're as old as dirt, and frankly I'm not interested in either one, let alone both, categories."

"Demons age slower than humans!" He huffed.

"So you are technically still a child! Demons years maybe, but a child none the less, and I am not a pedophile!"

Somewhere between their shouting, they'd gotten close enough to look like they were kissing if a person walked in behind them. And sadly, that's exactly what Tatsumi, Beel, and Hilda did.

Hilda had simply heard shouting after her errand run, while Tatsumi had finished his talk with his "adopted" son. And said son was not happy to see what he thought he was seeing. His eyes turned dark and he sparkled with electric power that made Tatsumi's seal begin to glow.

Brown eyes widened as they caught sight of the glowing contract, and he quickly tried to calm the baby down. But Beel would hear nothing of it. So Tatsumi looked at Hilda who had backed away peacefully.  "It's best not to get involved. He's in a possessive rage." She stated calmly, as though what Beel was doing was a normal occurrence. Well, it was and he acknowledged such, but he'd never actually been electrocuted with the intent of pain. Hell, it'd been ages since the last time he'd been shocked by the child!

"Bullshit! Help me calm him down!" Tatsumi snapped, his Oga pride nose-diving out of a window. Not being taken over took precedence over looking badass.

"He won't until Lord En has been punished for corrupting what belongs to him. I also suggest you stop trying to move him, you're his adopted father, a chosen vessel for his power, you're involved."

Tatsumi sent her a glare that made her recoil slightly. He felt Beel taking him over and he just let it happen. Fuck it.

If destruction was coming, then why make it more painful for himself afterward? He'd be sore like a motherfucker anyway.

Ayame Pov:

I wasn't sure when my brother came in, but I was glad he intervened. En had gotten so close to me and when we both noticed he didn't let me pull away. He held me with demon level strength and gave me that "I wanna kiss you and so I will" face.  I shivered remembering it. I was one inch away from becoming an unwilling pedophile.

A crash snapped me back to the situation and I watched my brother deal blow after relentless blow at En. He didn't let up, didn't slow down, he just got more powerful. Red aura coated his hands as he beat the child and I stood up to intervene, but hands kept me rooted to my seat.

"No." Hilda murmured, loud enough for me to hear. "He's fighting for your honor, watch the master's glory."

I blinked and settled, noting that I couldn't do anything with her holding me down and I sighed. 'I hope this is over soon, this is painful to watch.' I thought.

En looked as though he'd been knocked out several punches and three kicks ago, but my brother kept going until he was satisfied.

When the demon prince was nothing but bruises and blood on the floor he seemed to calm. A light came over him and my brother fell down flat with Beel sitting on his stomach. The baby looked at me and started to cry, loudly.

Hilda let me up and I rushed to the child, picking him up and bouncing him lightly to calm him. "What the hell was that?" I growled lowly as I looked at Hilda.

"The young master has claimed you, it's only right that he defend you when other suitors try to claim you for their own."

I opened my mouth to ask her what she meant but I was interrupted by the appearance of another demon. This one had blue hair and blue eyes with gills on the side of his head. He looked at me and blushed, then bowed to Hilda and me, though I assumed he was bowing to Beel and me only by extension since I was holding the crying baby, and left the same way he came.

I looked at Hilda and sighed. "I'll ask later." I murmured as I stepped over Tatsumi's body and headed to my room.

"Call Furu over!" I shouted before I shut my door.

"Mine..." Beel murmured in my ear.

"Kid, I'm starting to assume that you know that "mine" isn't a nickname..."

"Mine." He said again.

I sighed for what felt like the seventh time that day and sat on my bed.

'I can't wait to go back to America. It's calmer over there.' I thought as I continued to pat Beel's back.
