The Last Ruler

Years before the Great Calamity, the Kingdom of Hyrule prospered more than ever Never was there a time where fear lurked around the corner. Or when society as at the brink of danger. And the people and their communities never felt threatened by a little to none monsters. This was known as the area of Peace.

During this period, the peoples of Hyrule—Hylians above all else—neglected their past. The smog of a once Great War against the despicable calamity tended to remain as a mystery for the fables. And while time progressed, a legend.

Yet all good things must come to an end.

The myths surrounding the Great War against the calamity has put the people of Hyrule into a position of disadvantage as they underestimated their ancient prowess and abilities. As the era of Peace came to a close, the threat of another war, the Return of the Calamity loomed. Forgetting their ancient past, many of Hyrule's people—Hylian's especially overlooked their history. Ultimately these actions and ignorant behavior will ultimately meet its fatal consequences....

The story which you will read today is of a Queen who lived during the beginning of what we know as the Calamity Era. Right after the end of the Era of Peace but before the future events of what is known as the Great Calamity. A time of where she and many others of her kind were not aware of the danger that loomed—mistakenly believing that it was still and Era of Peace—but aware of the danger and course of events that foreshadows a catastrophic event.

A beautiful young woman with a gifted mind that is rarely seen in daughters of the Royal Family. Raised in a robust environment filled with an abundance of joy and love which shaped her values in becoming the woman she was. Her presence was warming, so it was no doubt that she was beloved by all of her subjects within the land of Hyrule. But alas my dear readers, a powerful and adored woman came to face a short fate as she died at a young age. land tragically their Queen at a young age.

This is the tale of Her Royal Highness Zelda 'Calanthe' Hyrule. She was the last Queen of Hyrule. The Queen with an unfortunate story due to her tragic loss; and interesting one for the mystery that shrouds around her life.

Above all else, Queen whom story, lost in time, deserves to be told.

Hey 👋 I'm finally awake.... It has been quite a long time 😅 How is everyone doing? I'm doing good! Quick update on me. Believe it or not: When I wrote this story almost 7 years ago, I was a middle schooler barely getting on Wattpad. And I was going through a Zelda phase because I really got into Breath of the Wild, and a bunch of Zelda lore.

I'm still in denial that I've been on Wattpad 7 years (look at my most recent announcement on my profile for reference) and writing this story, reading several fanfics which gets me nostalgic, and of course staying up at night until 3 am reading them. Right now, I'm doing good in life! A brief update: Over the years I came to appreciate writing, and over the years I have improved as it became one of my talents. Right now, I'm working on my own Worldbuilding project and it's my dream to have a story published based on it.

Currently I'm in college, majoring in Communications. I'm planning to double major—still deciding on that. I have a loving and supportive boyfriend by my side!!! We are high-school sweethearts which has really impacted me and changed some of my perspectives. If there's one thing that hasn't changed in these last 7 years, it would be my interests. Yes I still love video games like Zelda; popculture like movies and tv, cartoons especially; I'm still interested in the horror and fantasy genres; and I'm more passionate in art than ever! If anything, these interests just grew!

So now that I have you a little update on me, let's get onto the point I wanna make here. Maybe you saw it, maybe you haven't but I promised back in 2023 to revamp the story and commit to editing it. I completely neglected that promise; because I didn't remember about it or even wanting to rewrite some of the story until now. 2025 TWO years later. As much as I wanna apologize for it, I believe the words 'I'm sorry' won't make up for it. I'm going to do the best I can to try and improve the story as much as I could
