My mouth slowly parted as I took deep and heavy breaths. I looked up and saw Thor walking over to me with his fists clenched.
I dropped the hammer and raised my hands walking towards him. "Brother, I... I don't know what-"
He took slow and heavy steps and he approached me. My head began to ache as I saw the devastated look on his face. At least I thought it was.
My brother smiled and put his hand on my shoulder. "No need to ramble. Father spoke of your power to me." He whispered, then walked passed me.
"No need to worry my friends. I am still king." I turned slowly with my lips still parted and my heart keeping a quick pace.
"Before Kora left, my father spoke to me about her power... my sister is the Goddess of Power." I tipped my head and walked slowly to his side. "Meaning, if she tries, my sister can manipulate anyone's power to be her own.... for example."
He turned to me and smiled as I stared at him with curiosity. "Sister, without any thought, pick up the hammer." He stood back and folded his arm.
Everyone else did the same. They all stared at me with lasers for eyes as my palms became sweaty. I looked up at Peter and he raised his eyebrow.
Hoping for something spectacular, or waiting for disappointment.
I took a deep breath and looked at the taunting hammer. There was nothing to be worried about. I held it once, it's destined to happen yet again.
I bit my lip and leaned down.
"No." Thor's voice interrupted. I leaned back and looked at him.
He unfolded his arms and shook his head. "You are thinking too much. No thoughts. No worries. Just... pick it up."
I nodded and looked back at hammer. And with one swift motion, I reached down and grabbed it and pulled it from the ground.
With one minor twist, It didn't budge. Nothing happened. Which led everyone including me, to surprise. Then quickly understood.
Although, I had a hard time grasping all of this information. It was defiantly too overwhelming for one day. All of this... all of this happened in one day.
I straightened my shirt and stood tall. "I think it is time for me to rest."
"But we need to test your-" Thor tried to argue.
I raised my hand lightly and shook my head. "Please brother... another day. Not this one. As of now, I need to rest." I turned to everyone and put my hands together. "It was wonderful meeting you all. And I am enthused to see where these new acquaintances will take us. We will carry on tomorrow."
Some of them understood and others nodded in dissatisfaction. They probably wanted something spectacular to happen. For them, this is normal.
But me... all of this is new. There was no thought of the Avengers, my brother, my power... anything. This was something that I needed to think on. Something they may not understand.
"Pete, show her to her room." Natasha said quietly.
He nodded quickly and did as he was told. I smiled lightly and followed him through the grand glass doors.
Everyone stayed outside and discussed everything that was to come of me. Or just simple questions for Thor. Who knows...
"So." Peter said, getting me out of my own head. "Today has been eventful, huh?"
